I can truly recommend it. Actually looking at your Cambridge pics reminds me of it very much, I imagine lots of buildings in both places were built around the same period.

LOL what do you mean avoiding the obvious joke? Sad, woe-be-gone face on the gargoyle above the tudor rose seemed rather obvious to me lol

As for hrh Anne, I think that pic was taken at one of the palaces in London but I'm not sure which one. But I didn't go around the whole of Windsor Castle so I'm not quite sure what the back looks like. The Queen was at home when I got there and a large part of the castle was closed off to the public. The ticket office was closed as well so when the guard moved away for a bit I just *ahem* wandered in. Shame to let the photo opportunity go to waste ;)

Those things around our necks play recordings (you need to hold it to your ear) of a guided tour of the area.
To be honest, I did not use mine. I went straight there from the airport, so the 12 hour flight, a low of 3C and seeing a dear friend for the first time in 6 months was enough to handle for that morning! (!)
