There's a spot with the unoriginal name of Lookout Mountain to the west of Denver. From there, you can see all of Denver and the surrounding area. It's nice enough, but the best time to go up there is on the 4th of July. We actually counted no fewer than 28 fireworks displays going on simultaneously. Hard to capture on film, but here's a picture of a guy leaping off the mountain. That's the city of Golden - home of the Colorado School of Mines and Coors - Denver's off in the distance.
