Leda and the Swan

The main avenue in Arnhem goes all the way from the John Frost Bridge past the train station, where I work and continues to the nearby (small) city of Oosterbeek.

It changes name a few times.
From the bridge to the station (Eusebiussingel/Velpersingel/Janssingel) it's a small park/landscaped garden in English style. Along the way are statues of Greek gods, demi-gods and a few mortals. I'm not quite sure what the history of these statues is, I believe the came from the gardens of villa's and other stately homes and given to the city when it was rebuilt after the war. From what I can gather they survived destruction in WWII.
