Yesterday I took a walk along the lower slopes of Devil's Peak.
Facing Table Mountain, Devil's Peak would be the peak on the left - see my signature pic
Here I was on the wetter eastern slope where the vegetation is lovely and green.

This year the azaleas in my home town were a bit of a bust due to a late freeze ( we call them "blackberry winters"). But a few made it through fairly well. They ennoble even the simplest homes.

You know, I think I could find my way around Arnhem, Cape Town and Sophia! Thanks, guys, for all the great pictures!

It's been a while since I've visited this thread, but I just went back and looked at the last 16 pages or so. You guys are amazing! Some of those photos are just stunningly beautiful!! Keep up the great work, guys!

If you don't mind, I thought I'd post a couple. I didn't take any of these myself (no camera, dang it), but I thought they were interesting.

"Douglas County, KS" as found on the net. (I was looking it up one stormy day to find out exactly where I lived on the county map and found this.)

Welcome to Mastermind buzzj, please be seated.
For the record, please state full name and occupation.

Your chosen subject is "Finding My Way Around Around Arnhem". As soon as I say start the clock, you will have two minutes to answer the following questions:

1. What is the name of the tall Church in the middles of the photo?
2. Name two other buildings between the two churches (not visible in this pic)
3. What is the name of the smaller church on the right?
4. Which of the two churches is older?
5. While technically not a Square, the entrance to a specific location in Arnhem can be found, what is it's name?
6. Where did it get it's name from?
7. What is it's common, more locally known name?
8. On a daily basis at least how often does buttons pass this landmark?
9. When travelling to the left which other significant feature of Arnhem can be found?
10. In honour of whom was it named?
11. What is the name of this avenue called on the side the photograph was taken from and what is it's name on the other side of the road?
12. Arnhem is known for a specific mode of public transport, name it.
13. What are the colours of the new city flag of Arnhem?
14. When travelling to the left you will pass by - I have started so I will finish the question - a number of sights you have seen featured here before, mention them in correct order.

Before answering the questions mr. Buzzj, I hasten to mention that no help from other candidates is allowed.
Your time begins now - Start the clock!
