But there are the Flint Hills...
... and the Konza Prairie
... and the Tall Grass Prairie
And Kansas even has a mountain...
... Mount Sunflower, the highest point in Kansas!
(It's not too hard to climb.)
Western Kansas...
Kansas has tornados, like in The Wizard of Oz....
...and dust storms, too...
Kansas isn't glamorous... it's just vital. It feeds the country and lots of the world.
Corn...
Wheat...
Cattle...
The Western Meadowlark is the State bird
The state song of Kansas is "Home on the Range" (It really is!)

Oh, and you're right. People think it is flat as all hell, but it really isn't--just where the interstates go through (in the west anyway).
Here are some more pics of my beloved state, including the Limestone Pyramids in Western Kansas and the University of Kansas.
