Just for fun post a non-porn pic.

This just amazes me... those floating restaurants (inns?). That is soooo cool! :D

I am starting to feel hungry so just before I start cooking here's some food I had at one of the banquets I attended. I just loved that way of eating. We all sat at big round tables with a revolving plateau at the centre and the waiters kept piling dishes on there. If we wanted something you turned the plateau till the dish was in front of you and took some with your chopsticks, put it on a small plate in front of you and eat it. I skipped some of the dishes put before us and tried others I didn't particularly like (like the knucles of some animal deep fried in a spicy batter or the marrow in cow's bones, and the chicken feet), but some were absolutley delicious!
I could stay there for at least another month just for the food. And the way they cook fish is so wonderful. They take out the eyes at some restaurents and put in white beads instead.

This dish is called mandarin fish and it is so beautiful it's almost a pity to tear it apart. It's not an actual mandarin fish but a fish that is sliced and cut in such a way that the slices stand out (up?) after being deep fried making it resemble the mandarin fish, which is highly poisenous if I'm not mistaken.

Thinly sliced carrot in some kind of sauce/juice adds some crunch to the meal and the yellowish stuff on top I have no idea what it is, It's such a strange texture, chewy and crunchy at the same time.

This was one of my favourites. I had some the day before that our Chinese assistant July had bought and that was even spicier and hotter. It's deep fried rice balls with a ginger and - I'm guessing here - meat filling. I could eat those all day!

Beans with I think seaweed or else it might be mouse ears, another dish I couldn't stop eating.

This is a Cape Francolin (of the pheasant family), one of a few I encounted on Saturday.

I had encounter like that on Monday when I was walking through Meinerswijk, the nature reserve here in Arnhem, just across the river Rhine and Arnhem south, except I kept meeting pheasant cocks. I was actually very (pleasently) surprised to see pheasants withing city limits. Does the cock of the Cape Francolin look anything like this?

buttons, the Chinese really have a way with food presentation don't they? Was the restaurant expensive?

I don't know. I didn't pay for a thing, it was one of a string of banquets I was invited to, but food in general is cheap in China. You can buy a good meal for less than 5 euro's, 11 if you eat at the hotel, which is still cheap.

The male Cape Francolin is similar to the female.
Nowhere as exciting as the one in your pic!

French bullfighter Sebastian Castella lies on the ground after getting tossed by a bull at Madrid's Las Ventas bullring. (Hopefully, he won't be touching any more bull horns anytime soon!)

Guiyuan Temple
Guiyuan means to surpass the circumscription of existence and extinguishment, to return to purity and tranquility.
The temple is dedicated to the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, Guanyin.

I suppose the best way to show this would be to go inside with me and see it's beauty through my lens. Starting outside and making our way in. Even though it is a place of worship it is also a tourist site
The temple can be found in Hanyang, one of the three cities (now districts) that make up Wuhan. Wuchang and Hankou are the other two. I'll let you figure out how the name Wuhan originated. I was staying in Hankou, otherwise known as the business districh of Wuhan. This is the only day I spent in Wuhan as a proper tourist.

The temple itself was established in 1658 and it has one of the 5 best Lohan halls in China. This temple has 500 Lohan's that are all about the same size and weigh the same (approx. 25 kilo's). I can't describe the beauty of the Lohan, it is otherworldly, or the hall they are in or the Bodhisattva and the people praying before them. I tried taking as many pics as I could but they have a no picture policy so I had to be careful as I didn't want to upset anyone's feelings.
