As I was stepping out of the Main Hall, I noticed a group of kids rubbing coins all over this (I don't know what it is exactly), apparantly it brings good luck. I tried it myself at one of these in front of the statue of Gui Yuan.

Buddha's and other deities left as a sign of respect and esteem are left outside in the courtyard till they are stressed with age and the weather made me wonder if they are ever thrown away.
