What the boycott of McDonald's IS about
* It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, refusing to remain neutral in the culture wars. McDonald's has chosen not to remain neutral but to give the full weight of their corporation to promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage.

Why isn't anyone boycotting the AFA for being biased?

i have viewed them...obviously they've never seen anyone fisted or engaged in watersports if they think some leathery old man with rainbows on him is "explicit"

I don't see the point. Yes, there's nudity there. No, I'm not shocked at it the way AFA members probably are. So...what? Does that make them pansies? Uptight assholes?

Well, sure. The AFA are (to use Lex's suggestions) pansies and up-tight assholes because they're getting all bent out of shape about a parade in San Francisco. I certainly recognize that what's fun and games in San Francisco would be a little (how shall we say) provocative in Hot Coffee, Mississippi, but generalizing San Francisco's parade to the gay enclaves of the hinterlands is a little sensationalistic.

An Excursus on the AFA

The AFA is the American Family Association. Its executive director is named Donald Wildman, who is, I believe, a Methodist minister. It's headquartered in one of the smaller towns in Mississippi. I guess you'd call it a major player among the religious right in America, and it frequently uses the gay community as bait to whip up support from religious wingnuts.

uptight becuase some parades nude. Try a nudist camp and relax with nudity. A friend lived in a nudist colony with his family. His son was 8 years old before he wore his first pair of pants. What a life that must have been. I could live with it. The last picture of the little girl. If the parents were concerned for what she was seeing, they would have gotten her out of there. Why concern yourself, you aren't her parents.

I wonder how the AFA would respond to the Folsom Street Fair....

And why wasn't there any outrage expressed on their Web page about the female nudity? OK, the females weren't completely nude, but they were pretty close to it.
