welcome, and your myspace is funny, liked the thing you said about spiderman not being the only one who can get his hands sticky on the web. lol

WELCOME!! You may find you meet more people if you cool the shorthand. I hope you have as much fun as we do here..Enjoy!

Hello from Canada. :)

Please PLEASE for the love of my sanity, drop the shorthand. I want to be able to read what you're writing.

I have loads of friends in the UK, they all type normally and not like that and it's very easy to read what they're saying.

THANK YOU.

PS: Don't get me wrong, I'm not being mean, it's just best if you type normally. It's really considered unacceptable by "most" seasoned internet users to type with any sort of netspeak/chav slang/whatnot. When I look at the way you write, it doesn't motivate me to want to talk to you - although I'm sure you're a nice person. If you're telling us we have to "get used to" the way you write, sorry, I can't. I don't want to have to think about how to decode what you're saying.

If you use netspeak/slang/short forms/whatever, it makes you look like you don't know how to use the English language properly. Do you really want to look illiterate? It doesn't take much to type those extra keystrokes and make yourself look much more intelligent. English is taught in schools, please put this to good use.

I can show you an example of what I mean: Take a look over here.

I'm sure there's a nicer, more diplomatic way to say what I've just said without making me look like a dick, however, I can't think of it right now.

Im sorry i cant agree here. Hes been here what one day, its alot easier for some to write in shorthand, but a introuduction page probably isnt the best place to tell somebody this :)

it may be easier to write in slang, but you've got to remember not everyone here speaks English as their primary language, so slang or shorthand or whatever is going to have very little meaning to them.
