Its manic not maniac...at least I hope so.
Now, stop digging up old excuses and trying to turn them into
avoidance justifications.
The group therapy is a step forward and you know that. The
worse that can happen is YOU decide it won't work based on
observation and not a fear of who the Fuji inside really is.
Some of us and YOU have invested time in helping Fuji grow
himself....don't let it be for naught.

Okay, end of Sunday Sermon.

i agree wholeheartedly. now that one issue is out the way, it's time to work on the avoidance issue because there's no excuses now at least at the moment.

the thought of dealing with the avoidance prob isn't as scary while on the meds though.

yeah... don't get me wrong, this girl is one of my best friends, but she seriously needs to stop fucking around and get a job. she's been unemployed for a year and a half now and isn't seriously looking for a new job (and probably won't until her unemployment runs out and her family cuts her off).

great for her, but because she has so much free time, she's like perpetually bored (which translates into messaging me all the time just to chitchat)

goddamn. a year and a half on unemployment??? :dead: dunno what her situation is but @ that point, she might as well take anything even if it's burger king.

god damn I hate it when people message me while I'm at work just to chit-chat... bitch, you know I'm at work; unless you actually need something from me, leave me the fuck alone.

maybe I need anti-anxiety drugs.

I feel like an asshole ignoring the message, but fuck. between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm, just don't message me. if I'm bored and want to chat, I'll message you. otherwise, just fucking wait until 6:00:01 pm when I don't have my boss 5' away overhearing every time my phone chimes.

I needed Xanax when I worked on Wall St, but not anymore. Reckon I would say about half the office was on anti-something pills because everyone was a zombie or unfortunately, that listless in actuality.

why was everybody so stressed out though? was it the pressure of the job?

I can't imagine it... being unemployed is like the absolute biggest sin in my family. I've got enough in savings that I could go 6 months without income if I ever lost my job, but I know my dad would be giving me shit about not putting applications in at McDonalds if I was unemployed for more than a week.

she lost most of my sympathies when I found out that she turned down at least 1 job because it didn't pay significantly more than she was "earning" from unemployment (and while I get her logic, I'd take the pay downgrade just to get back into the work force and hope for raises/promotions)

you ain't the only person that has a family that doesn't take that unemployment shit lightly.

what job did she turn down? was it a customer service type of job?

stole this from another forum. :rotflmao:

before she lost her job, she was a cook for a grocery store (you know when you go into the store and they've got the "prepared foods" section with like sandwiches, soup, whole chickens, cakes, etc... her job was making all that stuff). the job offer was doing the same thing for a different grocery store chain, but with a pay downgrade.

her problem is that she wants to get out of the food industry, and she wants to get into some kind of management gig, but she doesn't really have the experience and at least so far, she hasn't been willing to take a job doing scut work to work her way up.

what field is she looking to do specifically? any form of management? she could apply to do management for a food chain or something like that IF she has the patience. i know taco bell pretty much does that BUT the thing is that is a whole lot of pressure right there in itself.

I like the Paranormal Activity movies because they're a reminder that only rich white suburban people get haunted/possessed.

Also don't forget (not strictly related to Paranormal Activity movies, but to hauntings/horror genre in general) that Native Americans are 1000% more likely to be the reason someone's haunted than any other dead person... my mom always rages so hard about that with movies.

Lex, you will find that, even if a person doesn't like me, he can always trust me. I will never divulge the answer without your permission.

That has always been my personal assessment of you, Johann, even though I don't know you on a very intimate basis.

1,000 percent eh?

So, if I am 1/5 AmerInd it equates to me being about 200%
more likely to be the reason someone is haunted? Okay you
JUBBIE's. xbuzzerx has just warned you...don't piss me off
I won't get mad...just even and drive you mad in the bargain.

LOL buzz, it was funny.

Yes, exactly.

In fact if you're 1/5th Native American you probably have enough voodoo in you to haunt two totally separate locations.

Any movie where the big reveal is "Indian burial ground" sends my mom into paroxysms of rage. Which is funny because she's watched virtually every horror or suspense or haunting movie and so many of them do that.

toilet time is about to stop at last. found out that it's been the cheerios that has been kicking my stomach's ass for the past 2 weeks. apparently, cheerios isn't agreeing with the midget stomach.

AND DAMNIT, I LOVE FOOTBALL. so much ass.

and another thing i wanted to say too. i saw some sexy ass guy in shoprite. i THINK he was gay. he was on line with some other dude. the way he was walking was pretty gay.

I feel the same. We don't always see eye to eye and I have given you shit on a friendly basis but as a whole I find you honorable and trustworthy.

Well, it wasn't meant to be a riddle per se - more of an admission. If you've figured it out to your satisfaction, I guess that's all to the good. :)

Somehow, I think some of the JUBbers hide in plain sight.

Put another way, they use their real name in their avatar, thinly veiled. They think (correctly) that no one will ever guess that they've used their real name.

When I see "real names" in usernames, I generally think it's a strong possibility, yeah.

^A few years ago, I actually confronted a man on this issue on AOL.

I told him,"You know, Mr. X, I don't think it prudent to use your real name in a chatroom."

He suddenly got "vewy, vewy quay-ett."

As bad as they often were, sometimes I miss the AOL chatroom days. ;)

yes. when it was pay by the hour it was much more exclusive. Once it opened up to EVERYONE, all the freaks came out to play. That's how my local gay.com room is now. Nothing left in there but the psycho trolls. It's not modded at all.

I miss those days very much, too. I spent far too much time on AOL chat than I should have, though. :)

What do you think killed it?

I think broadband brought about the death of AOL chat. Do you agree?

Yeah, once people got away from proprietary dialup services and just had a 'generic connection' via a broadband provider.... the chatroom days died everywhere. Yahoo had a lesser known chatroom community too which also is pretty dead now. I used to like it because there was a music chatroom where people would take turns actually performing and singing live music on the mic and everyone had very good etiquette about not stepping on the mic over other people and waiting for their turn, and there were some TALENTED people out there.

I am really sad people commenting on my tanned skin and said I look less attractive now, bitches, I spent 2 months on the beach, of course I am getting a tan! And there's no guys around my place for me!
