I'd always thought of Ashy as a favorite nephew, because, due to his chronological age, I'd seen him as a kid.

But once, he posted a video of himself with a banana. He speaks with a really deep, macho, sonorous tone, and suddenly I thought,"This is no kid. He's a grown man."

So then I began thinking nasty thoughts about him. He does exude considerable sex appeal, doesn't he? And I've not ever even seen the pistol pictures.

dude is a freak. i'm sure dude gets ass on a regular basis. ashy is a sex demon. :p

Maybe the 'twits' are trolling or

Tracy and WalMart are whining

about traffic. When it comes to

the dollar, it's the treasury...

not people trying to make one...

that should be OFFENDING YOU...

I don't know why it's so easy for me to drift away from "fake friends", but I've never had much trouble coming to grips with the fact that "oh, I guess they're just interested in me when they need something, or there's nothing on TV". And I sort of shrug and find other people who really do connect with me. Maybe it's part of the robot in me.

And lefty's talking to me, I'm pretty sure. :)

I think some humor, especially sarcasm, does not translate well into text on the internet. From this comes misunderstandings.

Yep Lex,

I was directing a hopefully humour moment for your benefit.

I'm coming to believe that my little posts are too difficult for

many people to assimilate and they take non-existent offense.

But yes, all this electronic marvelment is stripping us of all

pretences at personal privacy.

The one thing I'm going to
stop doing is acknowledging your existence.<flush>
Sorry, about the stench, guys. I ate tacos last night.

============================================================

OK my friends,
This is asinine and juvenile.
Both of you suck in that silly little nerve ending and go home.
Assume the neutral position.
You will now scroll past one anothers posts.
If you are weak, wimp out on the ignore button.

Get over it...It is what it Is...period.

BENDER, I don't want to say you are a dick, but you're certainly being one right now.

You posted a vague GIF without context, and insulted somebody for misinterpreting your intention despite his response being nothing but kind and supportive. A simple "oh, I'm fine Johann, you misunderstood" would have sufficed, especially if you weren't willing to offer an explanation. Jason's response is a good example.

I'm not saying that Johann is a saint in all of this of course, just that I also would have been offended were I in his position.

I think a lot of bad feelings and some harm come from posting those silly animated gifs that some people seem to think are a good, clear way of communicating a meaning. Those gifs are actually stupid, pointless, and subject to misinterpretation. I think they should be banned on JUB as a waste of bandwidth. Combine those gifs with a healthy (unhealthy?) dose of sarcasm, and they lead to what we have here now in this thread.

You resemble "not giving a shit" even less than you resemble your selected photos.

Are you like me and feel completely weird sitting at a desk without any headphones/earbuds on? I could have them on and have nothing come out of the speakers but I take them off and I feel like something is missing.

One job, I'm required to wear earphones. The other, I'm required not to. At home, I just crank the music thru the speakers. But if I'm walking anywhere or exercising, the ear buds get put in. Always.

Im contemplating whether or not I should take a job as a Behavioral Health Worker, which is a fancy name for an aid to children with behavorial/developmental issues. These children are autistic or have down syndrome.

I was wondering if anyone has ever been an aid to this population and could give me some advice. Im little and I was just worried about my safety if a child gets violent. I feel kind of guilty for being worried about my physical well being when they have to deal with so much, but nonetheless that is where my mind is.

^ That's a hard job Anne, I have a little brother who is a bit special, sometimes it's overwhelming. You can handle it if you are very caring and patient, which I believe you are. Good luck, and let me know what you decide. (*8*)

Aww, (*8*) Thankyou. I definately have to think about it.

One of my former classmates worked at a camp for autistic children and she said she loves it. She also babysits an autistic child. I don't think she feared him, as she mostly watched movies with him and took him out toy shopping. She didn't go much into detail, but this could possibly help you make a decision. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Thankyou.

Ive only known one child with developmental issues. I wasn't around her enough to see her get upset so I wasn't thinking about being scared until I went for the interview and I was informed that most of the children had behavioral issues. We started talking about getting hurt on the job and my head went into a tail spin.

Thankyou for the advice.

If you have the training for that job, did they teach you how to evaluate safety and how to perform control manoeuvres and restraints safely?
