I think it has more to do with my entire body itching like crazy when I'm trying to sleep or study. The worst is hearing the buzz when you're in bed trying to sleep though, because you just know that if you don't get up and kill it, you're going to wake up with at least two bites somewhere on your body. Most pointless and infuriating insect ever.
Speaking of others though, during the past week as the temperature has risen, huntsman spiders have been seeking refuge in my house. They're harmless, but they always sit in places that scare the shit out of you when you see them. A few days ago, one was waiting on the wall in the hallway just outside of my bedroom door. It was right in front of me when I stepped out in the morning. Coffee was not required that day. More recently though, one was waiting for me on the inside of the pantry, one of their favourite places it seems. A gigantic hairy spider is not something you want to encounter when you get up for a midnight snack.
Australian Summer; do not recommend.
Crap...those pics are frightening. I would not want to see them in my house. Me and my lover feed the daddy long legs in the corner semi live flies so they won't leave ...they kill all the other spiders...they are deadly to black widows.
We have coyotes and mountain lions and wild boar where I live.

I was bitten so often. Last year I go a bad fever due to it and was sent to the hospital.
