guys are literally the worst thing ever.

spent the last couple weeks texting with this guy nonstop and we were supposed to go out on a date tonight, but he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth now  messaged him yesterday afternoon to suggest a place, and he hasn't responded back.

if you're not into it, it's cool. I'm an adult, I can totally handle a "sorry, I'm not really feeling it" or even make up an excuse (don't worry, I'll take the hint... if a guy cancels a date, I leave it up to him to reschedule it (or not))... the whole dropping off the face of the earth thing leaves me half wondering if he got hit by a car or something.

think I'll shoot him a "let me know if we're still on tonight, otherwise I'm going to work late and pickup some OT" text around 4 o'clock.

/vent

He might be in that category of guys that "likes the thrill" of attracting attention from guys with their variety of outdated/faceless/fake pics, and never actually follows through on dating. Where are you meeting these guys, out of curiosity?

I'm guessing there are guys on these sites who make a move, and when they're responded to, they either freak out and don't respond, or masturbate to the idea of the hookup and then don't respond. :)

i'm kind of mad at this thread getting rated two stars. who the fuck rated my thread one star?

I rated this thread 5 stars, just for refuji ..|

guy finally responded, said that he's stuck in auditions all day and needs to cancel tonight. fair enough, I told him to let me know whenever he wants to reschedule (unspoken: but I'm leaving that up to him and have no intentions of trying to reschedule unless he makes the first move).

I always completely and utterly forget that the rate thread feature exists. I've used it like 2 or 3 times, and usually only after someone asked how come people were down-rating their thread.

Gave you 5, Refuji. ;)

Can you guys think of decent jobs that involve a good deal of travel (across the country), besides truck driving or sales? It would need to be entry-level, as it will most likely be a leap away from where my primary work experience lies. yes, huntneo is still facing career woes. :dead:

Flight attendants, but it's not a great gig from what the attendants have told me. I know a couple people who work cruise ships, too. They love the work, but only if you don't mind sharing a 10 x 10 room with somebody, and literally NEVER having a day off.

Who's the one being spiteful and juvenile now. [-X
Grow up.

You're telling somebody to act their age? Huh.

^ Correct, try it yourself.

No.

totally agree that this is a *5* star thread, fuji! It has been quite therapeutic for me. ;)

and this isn't so much of a "vent", but a question for those of you who may be able to give suggestions and/or ideas:

Hello, I'm Special Agent Neo, I'm with the FBI.

Btw Neo while my suggestion was partly in jest, if it does appeal to you at all, give it some thought! The cut off age for joining is coming up for you in a few years. :)

another vent: why is it that people LOVE to rail on "Americans" for being "fat" "obese" "fast food eaters!!!", etc? It's all over the place...I mean, sure there are a lot of overweight people in this country...but there are also many people who pride themselves in healthy eating and exercise. I just don't get the stereotype. And not to mention, it's fucking obnoxious hearing it all the time. We get it. Americans are all fat, lazy bastards...okay...thank you. Must we be reminded on a regular basis?

suggestions noted, guys! thanks! :D

And I also think some *non-Americans* do it to somehow make themselves feel better. That's another reason it pisses me off. They don't seem to genuinely be concerned about overweight/unhealthy people...they just want to feel superior to all the fat-assed people in this country that supposedly only sit on their asses and eat junk food all day.

You don't look better...you just look like a dick.

Also notice: people have so much negative shit to talk about this country, but many of them break their fucking necks trying to get here to visit (if not live).

We actually aren't the most obese country, but I think the overrepresentation of America in movies, the media, world news etc., has us in the spotlight a whole lot more. Usually the more hype something receives, the more popular it is to get on a bandwagon and bash at it. I'm sure none of the people who bash heavily on the U.S. for something like obesity have no obesity problem in their country at all, lol. It is true we have an obesity problem but I think to simply say it's because Americans are fat and lazy is a real oversimplification. Ever tried to eat healthy? In the U.S., it largely involves going out of your way, with less convenience, and costs more. One time I actually went into a grocery store and TRIED TO FIND snack food that wasn't perishable (I just can't eat fruit or veggies fast enough to keep a huge stock of them around and have them go bad) and wasn't coated in frosting, high fructose corn syrup or trans fat... and good luck. I could barely find anything. Rice cakes I guess? lol.

In the U.S., if you eat on any kind of conscientious budget, and you don't have time to sit home and prepare 3 organic meals for yourself from scratch, most of the food that is accessible to you will be very unhealthy and fattening.

Hm. I was thinking in might make a nice surprise for whoever wanted to suck me off, but then again, I don't know I want the nickname "Cheesedick" attached to me.

The flight attendants I know say the worst of it is the illnesses. You're getting a whole new set of people to get cooped up in tight quarters every four hours, which all but guarantees you'll be catching colds left and right.

Lex

No i didn't give it a second thought. :gogirl:

well, you could have fessed up right then and there but you didn't. *shrugs* you got called out twice on two different occasions by two different people on the same issue and you chose to dodge it twice.
