I didn’t but obviously if I had realised before I signed up that it was a closed club I probably wouldn’t have bothered. For the record, a search for pictures led me here and the specific reason I joined was to answer a question. Not a particularly important question in the grand scheme of things, but nevertheless a question to which I knew the answer and was only too glad to provide, just as I have done on innumerable occasions since then. I’ve stayed because there are actually a heck of a lot of nice people here who actually don’t mind the presence of females.

As for my “overrun with us“ remark, to my knowledge there aren’t more than a handful or two of women currently active on JUB, so you see compared to the overall population of the site the female contingent is a mere drop in the ocean and will probably never be more than that.

When I was a pre-teen. I belonged to a forum that was supposed to be for young girls to talk about puberty, sex, body image etc. I believe that it too had a gender in its title. This did not stop teenage boys from being on the forum. They too wanted to talk about all the stuff that I listed. During my time on that forum, I didn't see anyone complaining about the boys being there, they added something that was different, yet valuable. I can only hope that the girls on JUB are doing the same.

Anyway.....I hope that Thatgirl is well and comes back soon.

that depression is coming back in full swing even when i'm taking 75 mg's of zoloft. had suicidal ideations this morning while waking up but couldn't act on them.

oh yeah, i'm also tempted to hurt somebody right now. feel like throwing a grenade and trying to blow somebody's arm off. :mad: either that or robbing somebody at gunpoint. that's how upset i feel right now. enough to really want to hurt somebody as a means of taking out my pain onto them. disturbing but that's what's in my head right now.
 
Fuck all this pollen going around. I don't have a runny nose but it feels like my throat is closing up. No I don't have asthma either. My car got a nice coat of yellow today.

Last night I had a rather...odd dream. First of all, it was coherent, instead of random and nonsensical as they usually are. In real life, I don't really like children. I don't hate them, but I find that many of them are so loud and unruly so I don't go out of my way to interact with them. In my dream it was quite the opposite though. A friend of a friend (she was made up in this dream; I don't know such a person in real life) asked if I could babysit her 6 year old while she went to work. I agreed, and we were hanging out at my house when her ex-husband (the child's father) showed up with his new girlfriend to kidnap the child. They tried breaking into my house so I called the police. The operator's response was, I kid you not: "Oh, we'll try to send someone out there when we get a chance." After hours of trying, they finally succeeded in breaking in. The girlfriend grabbed the kid, and the ex came after me to kill me. I ran out of the house and he chased after me. He eventually caught me and got me in a choke hold. As he was strangling the life out of me, I thought "This all could have been avoided if I had a gun." Then I woke up. That was the first time in my life (albeit in a dream) where I wished I owned a gun.

Then I went back to sleep and had a dream about Team Rocket being terrified of The Supreme Court of Canada. Like I said, random and nonsensical. :lol:

As I posted, I don't really care wether or not women are members here, I was just curious as how you came to be here. If I saw a forum named "Just Us Girls", or "Just Us Parents", or "just Us Catholics" it wouldn’t cross my mind to join, because I'm not a member of those groups, that's why I asked. I did not intend to get anyone's knickers in a knot. And I mean anyone.
I asked a question, got an answer, my curiosity is satisfied.

Even if women posted 10 times as often as they currently do on JUB, this board STILL wouldn't be "overrun with women" - and the women on this board are here generally because they WANT to be here. There will never be anything wrong with that. My reaction about women being here is more "Oh, COOL!!" than anything else - and I greatly value those contributions to our discussions.

Consider that there are slightly more women in the world than there are men, and this discussion board is "all about life." I eagerly read the posts by the women of JUB, as I read anything else.

Well, he HAS been trying to get help, but he has to deal with the BASS-ACKWARDS, primitive U. S. mental health care system. Along with their refusal to consider providing him individual therapy (which R. clearly needs, AND clearly yearns for), he just said that they are actually GETTING RID OF most of this kind of care in New Jersey. Is this the goddam fucking Republicans trying to cut the things which will help ordinary people, again, so that their HMO's (and stuff) can roll more and more in their incredible profits?

My str8 guy friends loves to troll me 99.99% of the time especially on the phone.
Was supposed to go to rink for practice today but how can I find them whenever they pick up my call they mimic deep robot voices asking me who am I and "what is this Ice rink" you speak off.
Lol so over trolling over the phone.
