For the lack of a better term, you can call me "Caucasian", I just don't use that term in my native language. TBH, I don't even go around saying that I'm white, it's just in racial matters I AM white as opposed to black, Asian, Arab, etc.
I welcome your appeal to declare myself an anti-racist. I do in hindsight but it's nothing but hot air to me (or the others) because it doesn't change the fact that many of my friends of other ethnic backgrounds still experience the same prejudice politicians can stir up in recent years, though I never see or experience it because I'm not affected. It shows the true colors of a nation, which scares me, and puts the ones against it in an awkward position.
It's like you invite some strangers into your home and later find out your family has been treating them badly. All you can do is apologize and you can't do anything about it because your family just won't listen to you.
My statement is genuine. I do show support and love to those affected but it doesn't matter what I say or do in terms of racism and political issues regarding foreigners, it doesn't seem to do squat. All I can say is that [we] are not all like that.
