I say lock the bastard up. Lord knows how much damage he's done and to whom. What a sham he was.

We had Bill Cosby and his wife Camille(his private jet at Teterboro had her name on it in the 90's)and his entire entourage as clients for several years. We catered all the food, beverages, flower arrangements, reading material, paper supplies...etcetera...

He was a bit of a chili dog nut...(chili sauce on a hotdog)While his crew ate filet mignon,we would pick up hot dogs and sauce from a few of his favorite NJ places.Mostly from Cubbies in Hackensack.I still have Lenox china plates for his planes pre-set lunches with label/prices still on them ($200.00 each) Pretty basic with some hand painted gold trim work.

Some of the sweetest people I have met...I would never think of him to be such a predator.Sad for the victims and everyone involved. You just never know :(

Next time the contrition comes before the name-dropping, protocol. As far as heartwarming stories about sexual predators go, that was..... one.

Indeed you never can tell just how dark some people's hearts are, sorry to read they've given him bail.

Bail is temporary. He might just get life in prison being 80 years old.Or he might off himself if that's what the verdict is.Sad...that a lot of people in the industry knew about him but kept quiet, just like Weinstein. There is a lot of human crime accessories out there.

Once senses that Cosby is guilty AND some of his accusers. There seems to be more than a couple of gold diggers among them. Who knows how many are victims, but certainly some. The others? You can't rape the willing.

I have neither admired nor not admired Cosby. When a friend graduated from Phoenix University, I attended and was treated to Phylicia Rashad delivering the commencement address. She did quite well. That is the most exposure I have ever had to the Huxtables. I wonder how she felt about all this.

I know he's guilty of something---I just can't help but feel bad for a pitiful legally blind 80 year old ---wish they had come forward sooner when he could have spent a long time in jail reflecting on what he had done---now he'll just probably die soon.

I hate to see anyone ruin their life and the life of another.

Anyone got killed or seriously harmed by Bill?
If seriously harmed, i want to know the damaged done.

Example of the damage please

Telly if you can't see the harm in drugging and raping someone-- at that, multiple someones, there's just no hope for you.

Norristown, PA, is a crappy town that I probably will never visit again since I am retiring. It will still be good to have the media circus leave. I passed the courthouse last week coming back from a job and saw news vans from every regional TV station and some from quite far away. I guess it was easy to ignore the awful town around the courthouse.

It's amazing how people can have a side to them that isn't seen by most. Glad that it is over and he deserves punishment. Most importantly is that it is sending a signal to others.

I don't think the bit about "legally blind" means jack shit. He was able to perform stand up just last year at a club, so even if his vision is greatly reduced, he's not rotting away in a chair by the fire.

Any mitigation of justice based on a criminal's infirmity is a miscarriage of justice. Conviction & sentencing isn't about reaching a level of impairment or suffering to suffice for the crime. It's about incarceration as punishment for the culpable transgression of law, which in turn is the violation of serious social mores.

"Your Honor, the defendant, through his own neglect admittedly, is suffering from almost complete loss of his teeth. The Defense appeals for leniency in sentencing even though the Court has found him guilty of embezzlement of the $23 million fund."

"So, despite intentionally and illegally driving to the bar and becoming fully intoxicated before killing the couple who were walking alongside the road, the defendant has a chronic disease of the pancreas and probably only has a decade to live."

Rape is rape. If it means a prisoner will die in jail blind, or of pancreatic disease, it has nothing to do with justice or injustice. Crime and punishment is about social enforcement of the agreed upon codes of law. There is no valid basis for "yeah, he raped them all, but he's old now so it's not a problem."

It's frankly embarrassing to see lawyers shamelessly use these PR campaigns to try to sway judges, juries, and public opinion.

One of my best friends from youth was bitter about his father going to prison for a DWI where he drove home drunk and the truck left the road and killed a young woman walking. He went the next day to have the truck repaired and repainted on the sly to try to cover up the hit and run. He was in his 60's probably when he did it. He later developed cancer and I believe was let out early to die. My friend never even accepted that his father deserved prison.

Mercy needs a heavily compelling reason to mitigate justice.

Not for nothing, I'm curious about the heightened reaction to Cosby. The general response to the metoo movement was cynicism, criticism and apathy, "Why these bitches wait so long....?" "They're just trying to be famous."

To be perfectly honest it feels like this is less about justice for the victims and more about "Hey how come that rich guy can do what he wants?" Does anybody even know any of the victims' names without google? Where was this outrage when Brock Turner got 6 months, the support for Trump's accusers, when we found R Kelly and Aaliyah's marriage certificate, video of him peeing on a teenager and most recently multiple accounts of physical and mental abuse? Without releasing an album in forever he's still headlining festivals.

This isn't about the victims it's about Cosby. Final answer.

^Good news for the folks at NBC though as Cosby was juuuuuuust about to buy the network. I'm sure one has nothing to do with the other. Phylisha Rashad somewhat alluded to this in an interview when the allegations first came to light. Things that almost make ya go hmm....

All kidding aside....I am so glad that the women he abused so horribly have finally gotten some justice.
