Justice At Last, Bill Cosby Found Guilty.

I did catering for Cosby and his wife Camille for a total of six years in the 90's. His private plane came into Teterboro airport fairly often.

One of the most charming men I've ever spoke with. It's strange to know how sinister he was in private.

BTW trivia

He ate hot dogs with spicy chili like they were going out of style.

US comedian Bill Cosby's sexual assault conviction has been overturned by Pennsylvania's Supreme Court, paving the way for his release.
Pennsylvania's highest court has found there was a "process violation" because Cosby had made an agreement with a previous state prosecutor that he would not be charged in the case.

I'm sorry but without hard evidence it's just he said she said! Why not come forward sooner?!

Because that is not how this works. Traumatic events aren’t easy to deal with or talk about and because when it comes to people like Bill Cosby this opens up the flood gates of the public eye to that and all these arm chair experts coming up with opinions saying this person is lying, why they’d wait so long, etc. Cops generally don’t take these kinds of cases seriously. Bill Cosby is a celebrity, which unfortunately in our society celebrities are treated like royalty.

Anyone that knows anything about going through any kind of trauma, especially any sort of abuse should understand why this isn’t an easy situation to come out about.

Has anyone actually read the report?
He was NOT found not guilty.
He has NOT had his conviction overturned because his accusers lied.
He was released because of a legal technicality i.e. a previous deal with a state prosecutor supposedly prevented him from being prosecuted for the offenses.
Prosecution lawyers are looking at whether that deal was a) legal or b) enforceable

Doesn't mean shit when it comes to America's justice system, when it is a disaster in the first place and we have for profit prisons and we constantly see people who were not guilty getting out when they've been in the system for 30 plus years. Him not being found guilty does not mean the accusers are liars, that is not how things work in justice system. Stop pretending that people don't get away with doing shit like this, with live in a culture of fucking abuse where we find people like Harvey Weinstein got away with this shit for years, amongst other celebrities being involved in all sorts of the same kinds of abuse.

Unless you actually have proof that they lied, [Text: Removed]. People want act like like "I don't understand why people wait?", when any accuser that comes forward there are tons of people who call them liars without a second fucking thought. Then people wonder why people have trouble coming forward. Why would anyone want to come forward when they're being put in the public eye after a traumatic event and a bunch of people who don't know what the fucking they're talking about call them liars?

You need to settle down and read what you have quoted more carefully.

Cosby agreed to testify at a civil trial in exchange for immunity from criminal prosecution--which he did--and the criminal trial should never have taken place. I'm surprised that it was allowed to go ahead; I assume the only reason it did was the hysteria surrounding #metoo and an ambitious prosecutor hoping to enhance his resume'. He shouldn't have served one day, let alone two years, nor have been put through the ordeal of a trial given the prior agreement.

Crosby may or may not have raped a woman, but that is not the issue here. The issue is one of legal malfeasance on the part of the state.

As far as I know Weinstein has never had a similar agreement.

You misunderstood what I said.
His conviction has not been overturned because the victims lied. They didn't. That wasn't why it was overturned

Cosby should never have been allowed to plea bargain on future charges

Exactly. As far as I'm aware however, the plea bargaining only related to the Andrea Constand case for which he was subsequently tried and imprisoned. According to the BBC report, "dozens of women" had accused Cosby of sexual assault. Can anyone explain why none of the other cases were ever tried? Was it just the statute of limitations or were the allegations considered unsatisfactory in some way?

Though I wasn't too thrilled how Bill marketed his "Pound cake" speech, I am glad that he was released. That case was b.s. I think that this was a money grab. Oh,
I didn't forget Gloria Alred's (who has never had a problem with throwing black men under the bus...the hell with her) AIG settlement or Camille's fiery 2012 response, which I thought was odd at the time, but understand now, to a certain wealthy entity (can't recall the name), which profusely inquired about one of their properties.

Another interesting tid bit...about the "victims". I noticed that a significant number was represented by the same law firm. In addition, most of the "victims" lied. Just putting that out there. Also...kept hearing that...in the 70s', Bill Cosby was a "powerful" man? Hilarious. Bill Cosby may have more money than the average and some influence, but he doesn't (or ever had) have any significant power in Hollywood that he could commit a crime and walk away with impunity. Besides, during that time, how many black men had more or a comparative amount of power as their white Hollywood counterparts? Again, just because he (Bill...a black man) has money, doesn't mean that he is powerful. I know...I am not telling anyone anything that they don't already know.

Historically, if a white woman were supposedly sexual raped or harassed, they ain't (yeah, ain't) ever had a problem with pointing a finger at a black man (especially if she was/is scrunitized by enough in white society). When such b.s. has happened, many of the males within white society, have excuted the accused (black men). It happend in Rosewood, FL; Tulsa, Ok; Knoxville, TN.

At this point, since the media has spread false stories about Bill, it doesn't matter if he is free. Unfortunately, he will always be seen as "guilty". Bill didn't force himself onto these women (obviously) or drug them...they willing took drugs that he supplied. I am good on the selective morality. Kind of makes me feel like, Bill will be used as a proxy to justify, under false pretenses, mistreating innocent black people.

Many of them were ineligible for trial in Pennsylvania either because of venue or because of the statute of limitations. The laws are changing to removea restrictive time frames on sexual assault accusations- if for no other reason than the science is changing so quickly (e.g. DNA evidence) that many cases that would have been dropped for lack of evidence can now be tried on that same evidence.

The big issue with the Cosby case? The women didn't know about each other and how many times Cosby had done this to women... and no prosecutor ever made the effort to coalesce the evidence from all the women scattered across the globe. When you read the compiled evidence, you're left with the question, "How did he get away with this for so long?".

60 Bill Cosby Accusers: Complete Breakdown of the Accusations [The Wrap]

A TV commentator made the observation that Britney Spears is not free but Bill Cosby is. It just doesn't make sense.

^ Thanks KaraBulut.

What are the chances that some of the other accusations might be brought to trial now?

The ruling was a State-level ruling, limited to Pennsylvania. What happens next will probably depend upon what Cosby does and what the accusers do.

If Cosby goes on an "exoneration tour" and calls attention to himself, he risks a backlash. If he quietly disappears into his private life, he stands a better chance of being forgotten.

If the accusers push other States to investigate Cosby's alleged crimes that occurred in places like California or New York, he may find himself in the same situation as Weinstein, caught in multiple indictments, with multiple court cases in multiple venues.
