"Justice League of America" casting has begun

I don't think you need a young cast... I think you can just rotate casts in a Bond/Batman-esque fashion if the actors are no longer interested/don't fit the bill. I'm glad they're going for unknowns though. These are the types of roles that people can use to break through plus casting will be gaurenteed to be based on talent and not just who they think can draw a crowd.
 
Just checked IMDB, and it has Adam Brody rumored as the Flash, Scott Porter rumored as Superman, Common rumored as Green Lantern and Theresa Palmer rumored as Talia Al Ghul. And as for the villain, I've heard rumors of it being Mastermind(no idea who it is).
 
Even though I don't like him, I think Christian Bale should be Batman for as long as Batman appears in movies. 'Batman Begins' was one of the most momentous superhero flicks to me, mostly due to Bale's acting skills.
 
There is literally no possibility whatsoever of this not sucking.

I read somewhere that Australian super-model Megan Gale had the part but none talks about her anymore

I was thinking the same thing. Is the the Justice League or the Teen Titans? LOL!
 
Christian Bale can't do it. He's probably shooting the third batman movie in his contract right now. I remember in an interview, he said that he wished he could do it, and hoped that they'd wait till after the 3rd batman movie was done.

IMO, they should grab some older celebs for the roles they don't have filled with the younger ones. Although, in the case of the Flash, it sortof makes sense, considering that he's one of the younger super heroes.

I hope this movie bombs, just to prove what a mistake it is to recast heroes that already have amazing actors as them.
This whole thing just sounds bad.
Everyone in the cast is WAY too young, except for Common, who works as my least favorite GL (He's SOOO boring to read in the books, he has no personality whatsoever).
 
Be patient, because they're still in the casting stages. And even if they don't get "big name older actors"(which is a very stupid reason to watch a movie for), I'll still go see it because I want to.
 
Marvel is taking the smarter approach (to me) with their Avengers movie. They are setting the actors up (as they create their movies) to eventually play their respective parts in the Avengers movie. For example, the Hulk will more than likely be played by Ed Norton in the Avengers. Now that they are working on Captain America, Thor, Luke Cage, etc., etc. they will utilize those actors in the fututre on the Avneger film. Does that make any sense or did I just ramble on? Sorry if I did.
 
Why do people think because it is a young cast, that is will suck? I mean this has great potential to be great and amazing. They picked a good story, and the cast isn't going to suck. I bet if Speilberg were making this movie, no one would say a thing about the cast. Everyone would be lke "wow what a good move, a young cast. this will bring it to a new and different level"
 
I'd wish they would put another female character in it, like casting Jada Pinkett Smith as Vixen or put Hawkgirl in the story line and use Victoria's Secret Angel wings for her wings :D

Looks like this is actually happening. Gen. Nick Fury will be making an appearance in the upcoming Iron Man movie, and Iron Man will have an appearance in the Incredible Hilk movie and vice-versa, the Hulk might be appearing in the Iron Man movie (or at least Bruce Banner).:wave:
 
As I've said before, BE PATIENT!!!!! They are still in the casting stages, and I'll bet they grab at least a couple older actors/actresses for the movie. And once again, if you feel like seeing the movie, SEE IT!!! DO NOT say that it will be a crappy movie because they don't have the big name, older actors in it, you might be surprised.
 
That really sucks, now I'll have to wait longer or indefinatly to see a live action JLA movie.
