They did take things a bit out of context and kinda missed that most of the posts they have there were either meant as jokes or were kinda sarcastic.

I mean, making us look like perverts is one thing, but "annoying" and "funny for 12 seconds" is probably what they're going to profile next.

Awww, we're just having fun. It's not meant to piss off or annoy anyone. Maybe it does, but..... I don't think that's anyones intention. We keep it inside of one thread, at least, and not all over the board. We're not hurting anybody.
 
Yeah.. well.. true.

It's sure calmed down a lot since they moved it all over to the "fun and games" part and we can ignore more of it, but man... it reminds me of that Simpsons episode when Bart was the "I didn't do it" kid and took a joke that was kinda funny and beat in into the ground and then keep going until the fact that it's beaten into the groud isn't even funny anymore.

(and it's NOT just one thread.. there's about 30 threads of that stuff all over the place.. if it really was just one thread it would be VERY different. I mean, exactly how many stupid white trash jokes can you tell before it's like "Oh great.. another stupid white trash joke?" Although considering the Beverly Hillbillies ran for 8 years....)
 
I don't think they would have understood a marvtha thread...

Although they're entertaining to read, I'm not totally sure if I understand them myself...

I understand what you're saying. But like with the poop threads (that you have to admit were pretty numerous there for a while) yeah, they're silly. And the guys are just messing around and stuff, but it's a deviation from the norm, so to speak. A thread where people can go just to fuck off and talk about completely irrational shit (no pun intended). I think we need that sometimes. And, truthfully, Marvtha kinda holds a special place in my heart because Marvtha is the one that sort of 'took me under her wing' when I first came to JUB because I felt TOTALLY out of place here. And Marvtha made me feel welcome and at home. Yes, there were others as well that made me feel good about being here, but Marvtha was the first. Because, seriously, I felt like an outsider and Marvtha encouraged me to stay and get to know everyone. And I'm glad I did.

Okay, I'm rambling on again, but anyway, I posted to you last night asking about your new doggie, wondering how everyone was getting along, but I don't think you were around. So I hope your new baby is getting along okay with the current one ;)

I have to say, I've never been so offended in my life!

All my years of posting, and not to mention a borderline obession with Ian McKellen and Henry Higgins, failed to even get me an honourable mention!

I love somethingawful, been a happy member for many months now (and the money I paid for my membership has been well worth it).

I generally don't look at the front page, though I probably should. I really doubt the somethingawful crowd is going to attack this site, because they only "goon rush" when there is something that offends them like ebaumsworld.

And don't take anything seriously from those guys (if any of you guys ever think about doing so, you shouldn't). Just find the video of Lowtax's speech at a university and you will find that out.

So any goons around?
 
I'm just pissed that they only chose ONE of my posts.

I mean, I fucking RUN this place, DAMMIT, and even if it WAS the longest post selected and it was described as "homoerotic", I still should have gotten at least one of my anti bisexual tirades, one of the "Why are there women here" and a couple "Strap on a pair" posts.

Oh, and one "Don't MAKE me come down there."
