I think he's just enlightened enough to realize that it's silly to denounce one type of prejudice and then practice another.

Well, I think he's definitely insecure because I remember the rapper Jim Jones from Dipset said that he's offended by Kanye's statement. Jim Jones said that he grew up with only his mother and that he mother raised a man. I just think it was pointless for Kanye to make his statement because it doesn't do anything positive, it just causes confusion. Plus, I think Kanye is an ass who is mediocre. He's nothing special. What is Kanye doing that a producer like Just Blaze or Swizz Beatz isn't? I don't mean to sound stupid, but does anyone know Kanye's instrumental contributions? Does he really play the piano, etc, I'm just asking. Inform me if you know.

Some of you girls got issues! When someone has nothing positive to say - ever - it means their own life is shit.
The way our culture works is all it takes is for the "cool" or "in" group to say something is ok for everyone else to find it more accepting. As a community we want people of notoriety to say that its ok not to be homophobic and that to have gay friends doesn't mean you are gay. If we start questioning the sexuality of everyone who supports our cause, no one will support us.

Since most people in hip hop call us "fags" and use us as foils for their own macho sexuality, isn't a positive statement welcome? And you don't mean that he is an ass, you mean that you don't like him.

Kanye West is not gay. I saw him one time on MTV and he was talking about how he at one point had homophobic outlook on gays. He said once he found out that a cousin of his was gay that changed his perspective of gays. He said he loves his cousin and that caused him to look at gays differently. He also talked about hip hop in itself making negative statements about gays, like using the word "f*g" and so fourth. He said this kind of behavior was wrong and unacceptable and that hip artist and people in general shouldn't bash someone for their sexuality. Kanye is now over his homophobia and has no problem with gays as far as I know of. Unlike the horrible ugly ass 50cent! Now that's someone who I would suspect is gay. He is so homophobic. If he is gay, I sure in hell would want him. He makes me want to
