The American Idol judge seems to be on the headlines these past few days. On The View, Barbara Walters asked Kara if she thought Adam was gay. Kara in my opinion gave her thoughts on the situation and said that she always thought he was gay. she didn't really (OUT) him. What do you guys think? Was it her place to say he's gay?

You can't out someone who is already out. Besides, she responded to a question and, by your words, said she 'thought' he was gay. That's not outing someone.

wtf? She was just stating the obvious. Adam was already WAY out. He can't really get more out than he already is. I mean he could say "I'm gay" but anyone who's not totally dense knows that already.

The ladies on The View were discussing how they thought Kara may have overstepped the mark by talking about Adam not in the closet

I heard on the radio today that Mr. Lambert was going to be on the cover of a magazine (I can't for the life of me remember which one, sorry) next month and he will be coming out in the included interview. I will try and figure out which magazine it was.

It's Rolling Stone magazine. It wouldn't surprise me cos they've done a lot of coverage on Adam and gush over him like fangirls.

The difference there is Clay vehemently denied he was gay for a long time. Adam said "I have nothing to hide". yeah

Clay admitted he was naive when he told an interviewer from Rolling Stone for the cover, that he wasn't gay (but at the time Clay wasn't out to anyone except Kim Locke). He wasn't about to have his mother, grand parents, siblings, friends and co-workers find out on a magazine cover before he was ready to tell them personally. That interview was right after his season of AI ended and he was in the media storm that followed. He never said it again but did say he didn't think it was anyone's business and that he would rather talk about the music, which is the same thing Adam has been saying. Adam has the advantage that he has Clay's experience to draw from. He saw how Clay has been trashed for years for not coming out and I'm sure doesn't want that to happen to him.

Kara is an ass --- No one even listens to her opinion on Idol -- The sooner she leaves the show, the better it will be --

The difference between Clay and Adam was that Adam, who wanted the focus to be on the show--not his sexuality----never said "I'm Straight". He said "what you see is what you see."
Clay on the other hand said "I'm not gay, I'm a good Christian!". It wasn't just one interview. Clay said this over and over for years. He is a coward. I liked him (and voted for him, lol) during the show, "seeing" that he was gay, and expected him to come out after the show was over. I lost all respect for him during those first series of denials about his sexuality.
Kara was just being honest. Adam never did anything to HIDE his sexuality, he just never confirmed it. So, she was right, he never was in the closet. Though I do like Adam and support him for being "himself" during this competition, I am looking forward to one day having a contestant on American Idol that right from the beginning says "Yes---I'm GAY. Gay. gay, gay-----get over it." and still is able to make the focus about his talent as a singer, not his sexuality. If Adam had said this when he became a member of the top 12, or even top 10, this issue would have been long behind him.........

No he didn't say it over and over, just that one time. He never said "I'm a good Christian" either. Show us an interview where he said he wasn't gay, other than the RS interview and while you're at it, find one where he claims to be a good Christian.

Uhm why are people talking about this... I mean it's rather obvious.

We all know Adam lambert is gay, it's pretty much impossible for anyone to "out" him.

Why doesn't the WINNER be on cover of rolling stone.... These ppl are so far up Adam's ass its crazy

Clay Aiken didn't win but he had the cover shortly. Why the hell does Kris should be on the cover just because he is the winner of AI ? I can’t remember if or when David Cook got on the cover and he was the winner right? If Adam gets the cover, it won’t be because he’s the runner up in Idol. It’s because he’s Adam. He’s already a media darling, and many people in the entertainment industry are really, really excited about him. And some of those excited people just happen to work for Rolling Stone ;)

Clay was the first Idol to get a RS cover. A month later Ruben got the cover but the article wasn't at all nice to him. Its probable that there was pressure from AI to give him the cover because he was the winner and RS made them wish it never happened. No other Idol has had a RS cover.

i think the better question here is why the hell Barbara Walters (or anyone else conducting and interview) would ask anyone to speculate on the sexuality of another person.

as far as i'm concerned, that's just really tacky.

Looks like Adam has won a "Young Hollywood Artist of the Year" award

And I've just found some dance tracks Adam recorded with a UK producer/DJ named Fonzerelli. He is a versatile singer!:gogirl: "What's Love Got To Do With It" is on a dance album "Big Room Tunes 2009' which will be released this month.
