Keith Olberman BUSH SMACKDOWN

I take this for the typical drivel dished by the liberal media which is in the throes of Bush Derangement Syndrome...a media that is pulling out all of the stops as the President's poll numbers rise. More than a couple of people here have demanded proof of the liberal bent of the media...well, here it is.

What amazes me is how this guy, who calls himself a "journalist", was able to change so quickly out of his blue dress after boffing the Peyronie Pud in his interview with him about the Global Initiative...when he gushed at how great a President he was.

Notice how he turns away at the end as he says "...good night and good luck..." He cannot look in the camera as he utters this phrase which he desperately hopes will make you think he is Edward R. Murrow. This is his subconscious way of admitting he is full of shit.

Hell! Let's round his ass up and tossing him in jail for sedition!

Doesn't Olberman realize that *gasp* "We're at WAR!!" :bartshock

Tacking a lable like "LIBERAL" to something doesn't change that fact that it's the truth.

Seems like everyone hears just what they want to hear anyway, so what difference does it make?

I'll take Keith Olberman, you take Bill O'Reilly. ..|

Deal? (*8*)

This is the best admonishment I have ever heard of the Bush administration. It almost gives you chills. I wish more reporters would speak there mind like Keith O.
It might be an admonishment, but what makes you think it is true. It is only one man's opinion.

Well, this was an opinion, editorial piece, not a presentation of news. I have a different opinion. I have no problem Olberman or O'Reilly editorializing on their shows, but don't try to pass this off as "truth".

We all have things that we believe to be true that are opposite of what other people believe to be true.

I respect your opinion, centex; I just don't always agree with it. (*8*)

Right back atcha! (*8*)

My point, even in regard to the Clinton / Chris Wallace interview on FOX, is that those on the right heard/saw what they needed to back up their views, and those on the left heard/saw what they needed to back up their views.

In relation to Olberman and O'Reilly, my views more closely align with Olberman, and therefore represents my version of "the truth."

Now in regard to what "the truth" is, I don't believe that there is anyone divine truth. I believe that there are pieces of the truth in just about anything, but it's not the complete and whole truth.

People who watched the news over the past couple of days, and the programs sited here, got out of them exactly what they wanted to hear or believe out them, and will use various points to assert their claims of what the truth is. ;)

How's that for not being able to commit? :D

Take a look at this Keith Olbermen video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps7csmA8JoU&eurl=

Great term admonishment - NOT

Reminds me of my mom "admonishing" me when I did something wrong as a child

Somehow Keith O and George W just don't fit the parts that fit for that word

As for reporters speaking their mind, not sure that's what reporters are for. That's what everyone is doing but not really their job.

BTW, Keith does sports talk radio too - he's very talented. So when he's dogging Bush (everynight on MSNBC if you're interested), it's like he's giving Barry Bonds the business for roiding up or "admonishing" Larry Brown for coaching the Knicks poorly

In just about every post regarding Keith Olberman, you mention that he was/is a sports broadcaster.

I'm curious to know what the relevance is.

I have a job doing X - I'm very good at it - I'm respected at IT - it is what I do

When I do other things, I dabble - I want to be good or great them - maybe I will be

Keith O built his rep on being a smart aleck at an ESPN Sportsdesk. Quips, funny haha about a baseball score, or a football blunder, whatever. He was part of the ESPN change in how we look at sports - in my opinion, not for the better.

He now has a nightly Bill Maher type bitch fest where he opines about the Bush Admin most of the time. Still a smart aleck and in my opinion, doesn't have the cred to pull it off. He is a partisan - he does not ever take the middle ground or suggest there is a middle ground.

He is an example of what is very wrong with cable news

Just my opinion
