It's not true. I came from some British tabloid, RCA issued a press release and cleared it up. Once again, IT'S NOT TRUE

Yeah, I've heard that.. but trust me, if the album is out in a month, there's no way in HELL that Clive Davis heard the album for the first time this week.

And besides, if that new song is any indication, she's about to release a monster album.. that's her best song ever.

Kelly's publicist confirmed that it is not true. Though it wouldn't surprise me because RCA already said that if Never Again flopped, she'd have to head back to the studio.

They never said that. You just made that up because you don't like the song and felt like being a dick.

Ive actually been hearing alot about this...and I heard it on the Radio on a very reliable station....and the DJ was saying it just as it was written from the first post on here....Poor Kelly.

No, actually I didn't make that up. And there's no reason to be rude and name call, simply because you can't deal with the fact that I don't like Never Again.

There were articles a while ago coming out saying that RCA wasn't happy with the fact that her album was going in more of a rock direction (which makes sense because they didn't want her to even do Breakaway) and gave her an ultimatum about the first single (before it was even confirmed that it was Never Again).

Kelly has even said herself that her label was concerned because the tracks sounded very Pat Benatar. "I had somebody at my label say they didn't like it because it was too Pat Benatar," Clarkson told MTV News of the new song.

it doesn't say ANYWHERE in that article that she was going to be sent back to the studio if Never Again wasn't a hit, and it doesn't say that RCA wasn't happy.. just that one person compared it to Pat Benetar (and that person could be the janitor).

It's a moot point anyway.. Never Again is a hit and the album will be too. I think that song is briliant.

oh of course... it's shlock.. shallow pop. Name a song by Kelly Clarkson that isn't.

But it's a throwback to 80s Bad Girl rock/pop and we haven't had that in a LONG time.

None of her songs are amazing lyrical masterpieces but at least she seemed to be aware of that. This one is trying to be all bad and the the result is laughable. Alanis does it so much better.

Not sure from where the comparrison between Kelly Clarkson and Alanis comes.

Annie Lennox and Pat Benetar do it better than either one could ever hope to do in a million years.

At least Kelly Clarkson isn't belting out whiner tripe like "Because of you" or "a moment like this." Leave that shit for the Euro-Trash awards.

I didn't say it DID say that in the article, as I said, the article came out a while ago, and I couldn't find the exact article that mentioned it. I'm just making the point that I read that RCA was apprehensive about the direction she was going with this album (as they were with Breakaway), so it's not that much of a stretch that they would give her some sort of ultimatum about Never Again.

And it's too early to call Never Again a bona fide hit. It shot up to #8 because of iTunes, but we've yet to see how well it will fare on radio.

That is exactly why this was believable to me. And for all we know, they could BE making her record some new songs.

Anyone else find it odd that there has YET to be a release date?

I LOVE Never Again!!!!!! I hope shes just recording new tracks and the album and tour are still on schedule.

Same concept and even some similar lines, except Kelly's execution is awful. I liked Never Again until that song came to mind and then I realized how it pales in comparison.

Her voice is incredible though, so I'll check out her album regardless.
