yes, lyrically, the alainis song is much stronger. Kelly's a better singer. IT's still disposable pop and it's not SUPPOSED to be amazing.


It's just what it is. I like the song.. I think it sounds like the Pat Benetar records I was listening to 25 years ago.

Yes, it's disposable pop. But any random track from Breakaway is better disposable pop than Never Again IMO.

I don't understand the hate for Never Again. It's not a masterpiece of course, but none of the Breakaway singles were either. It kind of reminds me of Since U Been Gone. Never Again has already gotten stuck in my head a couple times, so at least it's catchy, and I like it.

If Kelly's music is disposable pop than so is Christina's. And she hasn't exactly been burning up the charts lately...much to my dismay because I love her.

Plus, I wasn't the one that even brought up the term disposable pop--I was responding to someone else that used it.

at least she is writing all her own music now.

I definitely hope the album is better than the single.. Never Again is nothing catchy, I was very disappointed, I love me some Kelly.. but I expected better..

She could always change labels too.

I mean this shouldn't SHOCK her I hope it doesn't.


Look what the fuck happened to Avril... I mean she just got .... so .... pink.

And not P!nk, pink, but .... the color and the bubblegum... and the bad.

She means she'd consider singing songs that they send her as long as they haven't been recorded before. But she'd rather write her own.

Some one in some threads made a very good point about Kelly the more you listen to her songs the more you like them at least I agree with the comment I was very meh about Never Again but after hearing it a few times I love it

I think she needs to stand up for herself. When a singer writes their own music and they sing it the right way you can feel the difference in a performance. They feel more accomplished and good about themselves because they know they wrote that song and their fans like it. I like Never Again and if its a preview of whats to come from My December then bring it because I think it sounds awesome. And if it bombs, so what, most artist that have been around for many years: Madonna, Janet, Whitney, Mariah, Melissa Esthridge, Sheryl Crow......, (which Kelly hopfully will) all have had bomb records. And all have come from the ashes with new awesome music.

Brilliant.

Say all you want about Britney, but she's sold 76million albums. Something Kelly will never reach if she thinks she can crank out hits on her own. It's already happened with Alanis Morissette? Jagged Little Pill was HUGE. Then she went and tried to do it on her own, and her sales plummeted. With that, she faded into obscurity.
