On-Topic Kerry for the next Secretary of State?

Hardly. Kerry's sins are many and quite public. In his testimony before congress he lied about viet nam.
He is a disgrace to the uniform he once wore.

Publiclyy denouncing your country in a time of war is a gross and flagrant abuse of free speech - much worse than crying 'fire' in a crowded theater. Too bad that bedwetting liberals lack the educationi and/or breeding to understand that.

Bed wetting ?

Jesus

I'm not a big Kerry fan - but anyone who has served has the right to their POV - and it's based on a real experience

Bed wetting ?

Seriously?

Somehow the failure of liberals to cry out for the killing of John Kerry for the following speech brands us as uneducated and lacking the requisite breeding (WTF) to call for his murder?

You have very disturbing thoughts.

Oh by the way...see the part where he was wearing his three purple hearts?????

Kerry was 27 years old and dressed in his green fatigues and Silver Star and Purple Heart ribbons.

Yes and he tossed his medals over the White House fence in a public display of defiance. Amazingly, he still had those medals years later.

And, by the way, there was talk that some of his so-called injuries may have been self-inflicted. The man is evil to the core.

Let's not overlook the fact that he's a professional giggilo. Other than persuading two very rich women to marry him, what has he ever accomplished?

Kerry is welcome to his pov but he definitely showed himself off as an opportunist and political whore only calculating what furthered his own political ambitions...his conduct after the war was disgraceful. Not because he opposed the war(which LBJ vastly expanded to his eternal shame) but his cynical disingenuousness in carving a political future by throwing his fellow soldiers under the bus(meaning perfect lapdog, er Secretary of State for Obama). Real prescient on Syria's Assad, too:rolleyes:...calling him a reformer when everyone knew he was pretty much as ruthless as his father. What a huffy, self important piece of shit Kerry is. Obama has a right to name Kerry, but shows again his lack of wisdom and perspective. He's losing the only two grown ups with real independent stature in his Administration in Hillary Clinton at State and Leon Panetta at Defense.

I, for one, am glad we live in a country where the first amendment protects us whether we want to criticize our foreign policy or call for a Senator to face a death squad. ..|

We don't anymore ever since the Patriot Act was passed. threatening to murder anyone, even an official, could be turned over to the police and you will be reprimanded.

John Kerry walks intro a bar.

The bartender asks him "Why the long face?"

Later, a horse walks into the same bar.

The bartender asks the horse "Why the long face?"

The horse replies "My wife is dying of terminal cancer."

I'm trying to get this joke Frank...But I'm missing the punch line..Where is it?...LOL...

I somehow don't expect to see any similar sentiments about Oliver North, who was also involved in treason. But I won't...because Oliver North is a Republican.

As far as I know, Oliver North never publicly criticized his country in time of war.

PS you're dissembling.

The rumor mill has been swirling this week in Boston that if and when Kerry gets the nod that Ben Affleck would make a run for US senator as a Democrat. Would make for an interesting campaign if he does run.

Oh, boy! Swiftboating redux. *|* *|* *|*

They want Kerry so it frees up his senate seat to get the GOP shill Brown back into office. I really do not think there is a viable Democrat in my state outside of Patrick who wants the job [he doesn't]. Politics is just one massive game of chess; moving pieces around to win.

The word is that Kerry was behind much of the anti-Rice sentiment, because he has wanted the post for many, many years. He exploited and fomented many of the anti-Rice Benghazi talking points for his own benefit, because he knew he that Republicans would also have a vested interest in the seat.

JB3 after the words were out there when Republican Senators were offering up Kerry then it was painfully obvious that this was a kabuki theater bought and purchased whole by the inept. It worked though the right are still good little lemmings.

is that like a harry reid the word is out that mitt romney didnt' pay taxes for 10 years?

i just googled it and nada

so where's the word ?

it's totally plausible but where's the word ?

Something interesting that correlates to JB3's post...it appears the most effective opposition against Rice was spearheaded from elements on the left...upset with her privately confrontational style, her tough minded pragmatism and ripping her on her financial ties with the company in Canada wanting to build the controversial pipeline into the US. The Kerry subterfuge JB talks about also is very plausible. I may have been very wrong about Susan.... Maureen Dowd and others on the left appear to have wanted to stick a fork in her nomination no matter how close she may be to President Obama. I feel terrible that we have a self serving , hypocritical bastard like Kerry poised to represent us at State. At lest he wasn't nominated for Secretary of Defense... that would have been an unforgiveable obscenity with the Machiavellian suck up to the left he made after serving that resulted in his throwing his fellow servicemen under the bus. And I don't give a fuck about anyone on the left trying rto defend the asshole. He's always been a self serving twat and that's the last thing we need as the face of US diplomacy around the world. Maybe he was Obama's real choice after all, which would really be alarming.

Sorry Susan Rice...considering what we're getting, you may have been much more preferable.

^ So as long as the 'lefties' are the ones who didn't want Rice...suddenly she looks appealing to you?

uh. right.
