As an old fart it seems that youngsters today are much more open to experimenting with their sexual needs.
It is probably a lot to do with social media and the internet giving them access to porn and chatrooms where they can safely discuss things without necessarily having to physically try them out.
I remember when I first discovered the gay scene it took me months of walking past to pluck up the courage to actually go into a gay bar. Even then it was quite a few months of regular visits before I had the courage to actually pick someone up.
In some ways I wish we had had the Internet back in the 70's, but on the other hand today's youngsters have way more problems to cope with because of the net.

I've only had two people trying to pick me up in gay bars recently. Both times I was with my boyfriend. The first time a rather horse-faced woman propostioned me as if the guy I had my arm round wasn't there. The second time, this camp elder gay waited for my boyfriend to go to the lavatory and pounced. I wish they'd used social media and asked someone else. Oh, and there was this weird guy who just stared and then came and sat near us and stared some more before finally fucking off. He was really creepy.
