Finally they have a date for it.(!) I know they were talking about doing this for the longest time. Hopefully they wont take as long with Grindhouse. Until then Resident Evil and now Kill Bill will be on the list to get for January...|

YES!!...i can't wait!!
I hope they do this with the Grindhouse.. i've put off getting 'DeathProof' & 'Planet Terror' because i've been holding out for something like this!!
Thanks Quanchi & Raven03 (*8*)

I can't wait for this to come out. I held off buying the two volumes in hopes that they'd release them together some day. And its finally happening. :)

I'm not all that excited about the "extra" blood, guts and gore :(

My screen name -- renegade_killerbee -- actually comes from the end of "Kill Bill: Vol. 2."

Right before Bea does the trick and lives up to the movie's name, he tells her she's not a worker bee, she's a renegade killerbee. Loved it!

Wasn't the whole point of splitting it in two because he didn't want to cut it down? And now there's new cut footage? Sounds like they're trying to repair the Tarantino franchise after Death Proof got mauled.

The whole point of splitting the them up into two films was because it was too damn long. Even though he split the films into two parts he still had to cut out other footage because of the MPAA and time. They stated that certain scenes were too violent or gory and he had no choice but to cut it to get an R rating. Which explains why this dvd is NC-17 because now were going to see how the film originally was supposed to be.

As for Death Poof, I didnt see anything wrong with it other than the fact it was a bit long.

I thought I was the only one that liked Death Proof. You're right, it was too long. The first half could've used some trimming, but the second half was awesome..|

I will rescind my request for Vols. 1 and 2 for Christmas because I lost them :(

now I will be buying this instead! ..|

Death Proof was great.
The first half is filled with such a sultry atmosphere, its hard to resist. And that head on crash is amazing. I actually liked the first half more than the second.
The only part I fast foward through is the conversation at the diner between the four girls. After that things pick up and never really stop.

That's pretty much what I thought..
I don't want to see it as one cut. I liked the films being separate.

I love Tarantino films, but recently, I've been wondering what he's been thinking..

I actually thought the anime sequence was really cool and different...so thats going to be GONE!?
I once heard Tarantino was going to make an anime spinoff.

True?

I don't 'buy' it, and I doubt I will.
It reeks of marketing trickery. He already made me buy one movie twice. I'm not falling for it a third time.

It was announced that an "un-cut" version of KB would be released in the future, before the individual movies were released on DVD. I don't mind double dipping since I loved vol 1 and 2, and since I was aware that a full version was on the way.

I thought he got the R rating because he made that whole one part into black and white? I hope this edition isn't just the movies connected and that scene in color. I wouldn't be surprised.

Kill Bill vol. 2 was a huge let down.

Some parts in Vol. 1 were to avoid to NC-17 rating. Vol. 2 however was in partially in B&W to pay homage to samurai and spaghetti western movies.

Just an FYI, films are usually given the dreaded NC-17 rating due to sexual content (basically softcore porn stuff), not violence.

I went to best buy yesterday and they didn't know when it was going to be released. They were aware of the new dvd however they have yet to get a date which is probably why it's not on there site. I know amazon had a date but now it doesn't. However they do have a picture of what it looks like and it appears to be from a comic con convention.
