Maybe in the sequel. America is still getting used to its first butt-sex scene in a blockbuster movie. One step at a time, y'know. I agree with him but too much, too fast would have produced a much bigger backlash, IMO.

Besides, there aren't that many straight storyline movies where you actually see the main characters go down on each other. We're not gonna see the cock in the mouth in a rated 'R' movie for a while, probably.

that was hardly the first. without putting much thought into it, I immediately recall Deliverance (which also was nominated for Best Picture). Although it was a rape scene - it was still butt-sex.

I'm sure there are others.

It was very funny and topical, too. And bang on the money. He explains one reason BBM blew. I just never believed the characters. Probably didn't help that Ledger kept talking like Billy Bob in Slingblade.

There's Pulp Fiction too (also a BP nominee, coincidentally). But Deliverance and Pulp Fiction don't count because it was violent sex / rape which is seemingly OK to watch. If love or just plain lust is involved then it's scandalous.
