What tasty slice of yum yum did you enjoy today?

Two granny smith apples chopped in 4's just now.

Noms for the tum, as the kids say.

Or I say. Cuz I set trends like that.

I had some leftover spaghetti for lunch...I'm not really much for cooking on Sundays since it's my only day off and I like to be lazy.

I'm planning on making shepherd's pie for dinner tomorrow, though.

Oh, and I did make a cup of spicy hot chocolate when I woke up this morning. Just a pinch of cayenne adds such a nice warmth.

Dr. Solara: Spicy Hot Chocolate huh? I will hafta give that a wing... sounds interesting.

Bellowing Bedlam : Granny Smith's sound tasty. I have a bag on my counter but have yet to dive in.....

Cheese and bacon roll that had just come out of the oven at work....

my Yum-Yum was two slices of fresh baked home made raisin bread with butter

and a good cup of coffee

Oh one of my favs.... raisin bread... Whenever I was on the ship and ended up with the night watch the only food offered was greasy and fried so I would get about four slices of toasted raisin bread and then head onto the six hour watch....

Something about cinnamon and sugars that makes sex in your mouth

I ate most of a hot and ready.

Erm...... whatever is that? Is that like a hot pocket?

For the first time in about twenty years, I ate pork chops for dinner and they were delicious! :D

I love chops... the last ones I grilled were like an inch thick..... so tasty

Yay! (*8*)

I hardly ever eat meat anymore, but whenever I do...it's sure delicious.

Why not? Health? I feel better eating healthier meats although I still go off the healthy diet and eat sausages and pepperoni and the like.... still grass fed free range bison or cattle is so much tastier and healthier than the standard grown meat products....

Hmmmmm..... that may be worth a try. Once just before I die.

Well, I had some decent pizza.

I was killing some pizza in September. But the party is over. My abs have already went home.... I need to follow and soon.

I ate yummy Indian food today! :)

There's nothing better than having some good chapati or naan (bread), along with some vegetable curries, some basmati rice, some lentils, Indian yogurt........we serve it together on a steel plate........it's often called a "thali"...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thali

And for dessert, I ate gulab jamun (Indian sweet balls).......

Jalapeno Cornbread!

Made my first pan for the season this morning:

Honestly?

I could eat all of it in one sitting.

To many carbs.

Oooh!

But the fresh chopped onions, jalapenos, and cheddar cheese?

The smell of cornbread in the oven filling up the house? :luv:

Talk about "comfort food!"

I usually cook this as a side for salad, or a pot of pinto beans or blackeyed peas.

GOOD STUFF! ..|

Recipe attached.

:D

CTM originated in the UK as a restaurant dish imagined to represent a certain kind of traditional food. It's interesting to think about whether it's Indian food or not. Nowadays, it's migrated to India and you'll find it on some restaurant menus.

Oh man that looks delicious! Did you grow the corn or onions or jalapenos?

The onions and jalapenos are garden fresh, but I can't say the same about the corn ingredients. :(

It takes a lot more effort to make corn meal, and cream style corn. ..|

And I really don't know the first thing about making cheddar cheese.

:D

Erm...... whatever is that? Is that like a hot pocket?

No it's a Little Caesars Large Pepperoni. They're kind of gross but they're 5 dollars and I was being lazy.

Today I ate a Tuna Sandwich.

Tomorrow, Lake Perch. First time making it. Not sure how I'm going to cook it yet.
