I think the ignore feature is basically 'useless', it's not hard to just look over someones post and not respond. People don't have to respond to everything. If you think you have to respond to every little 'attack',etc made at you. Then you need a little self control.

I dont think ignoring actually solves anything

all it really does is delay a confrontation (which is ocassionally needed)

the use of the Pm system and the Comment system is actually the best solution here at JUB

and as I have said many times in the past.... if you take a dispute in private, where people are not motivated to look good or be perceived as the winner, something good always comes from it. I have made quite a few friends that way.

I do think that this thread is the third of a string of threads about not wanting to hear people disagree with an opinion in a thread.

I think that some folks are having a hard time realizing that friends disagree all the time and it doesnt have to be a bad experience unless you drag it out and make it gruelling

If I have shit on my face, my friends will tell me its there.... my enemies will say nothing and snicker behind my back

that is a truism of life

Actually, this thread has nothing whatsoever about not wanting to hear people disagree with an opinion. I don't mind people disagreeing with me. I don't care if people disagree with me.

What bothered me was that I was being told to agree with other people. Discussing a problem is one thing. Being told how to go about not letting the problem bother someone is totally different.
