Kyle XY Returns for 3rd Season

Kyle and his adoptive Trager family will have more time to delve into his mysterious past.

ABC Family has ordered a 10-episode third season of the hit drama "Kyle XY." The show recently enjoyed its midseason finale and will return with 10 new episodes to complete its sophomore season.

In its second outing, "Kyle XY" has introduced another subject from Zzyzx, a girl named Jessi (Jaimie Alexander). The Trager household has gone through their own upheaval with Stephen changing jobs, Nicole second-guessing herself, Lori dealing with her breakup with Declan and Josh befriending Andi. In the meantime, Kyle is torn between nurturing his fledgling romance with Amanda and seeing to his duties, which include dealing with Jessi and honing his unique skills.

The second season has improved on the ratings for the time period a year ago and recently won a Television Critics Association for best children's programming, beating out the likes of favorites "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Dora the Explorer."

The show and its star Matt Dallas were also nominated for Teen Choice Awards.
 
it was announced long ago that there would be a 3rd season. do you have any idea when it starts? i can't wait for kyle and greek to come back.
 
The second season picks up again early 2008, no exact month has been announced though.

Actually the FOX network just gave the show the green light this past week, but the network was hopeful of another season - due to high ratings. Production of the show is suppose to begin later this month.

i thought they had another season a long time ago. because at the during the finale it said it would be back. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for greek because i love it even more.
 
Yeah, it was announced a while ago that the second season was going to have 23 episodes. Maybe they were testing the waters before continuing producing the other 10.
