Kylie Minogue - Aphrodite

I'm like the biggest Kylie fan :D This album is so fucking fantastic! It gets better and better every time I listen to it. My favourites are "Better than today", "Looking for an angel" and "Mighty rivers".
 
I'm not a Kylie fan at all but I found the CD on some free site and downloaded it. I have to say I really like it. Love "Get Outta My Way" and "Too Much" and several other songs. The whole thing is pretty good. But I think it also maybe an age thing also. I may kinda be sleeping/talking to a 20 year old and he doesn't like it. He also used the gay disco comment. I saw someone else said that above. I am 37 so I like the sound of music that has that pop hook that I remember from the 80's. She did that here. She used more hooks than I ever heard her use in any of her music. It's very catchy.

Agh! What, have I been living under a rock? Kylie's album release this summer went way over my head. I'm a bit ashamed...been a fan of hers for years... :confused:

love her, but im not convinced by that video. its too reminiscent of some of her earlier work, specifically 'slow' (lying around on the floor) and 'in your eyes' (being shot from the side like a figurehead). its like shes repeating herself, without adding anything new. and while i appreciate her willingness to 'go there' for us fags, those costumes are designed to show off the beefcake as much as possible without actually being all that sexy.

ahhhh... driving myself crazy with my negativity.

i like the things they do with the projections, though.
 
Fucking A! The song "Aphrodite"...I can't get enough of it. The BEST Kylie Minogue song EVER! The drums in this song are fucking A amazing.

A couple of the songs I can't even finish...they're that bad. Not the first time I haven't been able to finish a song by Kylie. She either hits or misses. Mostly hits, which can be fucking Awesome.

The album is like a cross between Light Years and Fever. I hope she releases "Aphrodite" as a single in the U.S. It'll hit number 1 on the charts. And if it doesn't get any airplay here then that will just confirm how insane most Americans are becoming. Seriously.
