I agree with most of this. I'm not sure she's DONE yet... but I have a hard time seeing her with Madonna's longevity.

I support her because, unlike a lot of the pop-tarts people worship, she can actually play an instrument and sing without autotune.

That stated, her 3rd and 4th albums just show that when you pander to one crowd and the only risk you take is trying to make the newest gay anthem and fill the rest of the album with breadcrumbs for pigeons(oh, and have an over-inflated idea of what "art" is), you go nowhere fast.

I still like her. Her second album is the only one of her albums where I actually enjoy every single song. Her third album was fun the first two or three times I listened to it but after that the songs became boring. Her fourth album has a few more songs I enjoy listening to compared to her previous album but again after listening to the tracks a few times I get bored of them.

I still like her. Every musical artist has had an album or two that didn't measure up to their best ones. She is a natural, competent singer, songwriter, performer and she is still young with a promising continuing successful future.

IMHO, I think she has an excellent voice and is a fine musician. Forget the schtick. She has cut an album with Tony Bennett - singing the songs of Rodgers and Hart. It doesn't get much better than that! :=D:
