I wouldn't say it's epic, but it's definitely one of her best videos to date (next to Paparazzi). And yes, the eyes were weird--I was wondering if she had on something that made her eyelids widen, or maybe it was the special effects?

They're special contacts that are supposed to give a person big "anime" eyes, like the anime characters. Girls where them alot in Japan(of course). If I'm right Rihanna also wore some when she did her Live 8 show.

I think my favourite moment is still her reaction when the music starts at the very beginning.

That's my favorite part too! I laugh everytime I see it. It took me forever to figure out her sunglasses were made of razor blades

I really thought it was "free bitch," instead of "freak bitch." Because in the first verse, she says, "I want your everything, as long as it's free," and I thought she was re-stating the "free" part.

Yea whatever she was saying it think it wouldn't have been missed if it weren't there.

Btw notice how her back up dancers are also men in drag in parts of the video. I love her.

Anyway, Im so sick of her shit getting leaked. If Shakira's album is leaked like Leona Lewis (That I downloaded) and Rihannas (Downloaded that last night) I will be pissed.

New music popping up in itunes tuesday mornings excites me.

Just because she mentions three Spanish male names: Alejandro, Roberto and Fernando doesn't make it an instant hit in Iberoamerica. The song is still very lame.

Its similar to "Eh Eh" and Madonna's "La Isla Bonita". Not a big fan of both but it's a nice song.

@Lugus: ¿Tú que opinas? ¿Realmente crees que va a ser un éxito esta canción en los países de habla hispana? A mí me parece un intento medio tonto de querer llamar la atención de aquellos que hablamos español, pero sigo creyendo que sólo mencionar 3 nombres españoles, México y bolsillo, no es suficiente para hacer de esta canción un éxito, es algo repetitiva e insípida, ¿no crees? Bueno, a lo mejor a tí si te gusta Lady CaCa.

A mi me encanta esta cancion. Es excelente. Y si creo que va a pegar bastante aqui en LA. (al menos mucho mejor que Fanny Lu ).

i agree, that it does sound a lot like "la isla bonita", by madonna.

Hmm, I never made the connection until now. It does have a bit of that flavor.

I was more struck by "Dance in the Dark" sounding a LOT like "Vogue"...not so much the chorus or verses, but the little talking break...the name-dropping of icons, etc. Not a bad thing, but it definitely reminded me of Madonna.

I love the damn song. But I did hear a demo of it first which I thought it was horrible. Then I heard the current version so I was reeling that it was so much of an improvement on the song. But yea, one of the best songs on Monster. Probably the 4th best one. 1st being Bad Romance, followed by Monster itself.
