And why is there such a push to be original and ground-breaking anyway?

I'd rather an artist perfect a craft than create a new piece of shit (not calling Gaga or her work shit).

Just as you've got the right to think she's original, others also got the right to think she's not.

This thread is to discuss everything Lady Gaga, therefore, opinions are bound to be expressed, for and/or against her. This thread wasn't made to merely say positive things about her. It was made for a purpose of discussion which includes sharing videos, photos, articles, etc and then discuss and share opinions and thoughts.

Don't fall for that "if you're not with me, then you're against me" mentality. Lady Gaga's message is about freedom of expression...by basically saying people shouldn't say negative things about her you're betraying that message. Live and let live.
Gaga can't please everyone...no one can. So if people have different views and opinions, so be it...they've got that right...and thank Zod for diversity!

Although I love Gaga, she isn't necessarily groundbreaking or incredibly original. I do think, however, she was a much needed breath of fresh air in Pop music.

Pop music and its artists were incredibly boring and uninteresting for well over a decade now...then Gaga came along. She brought back the faith and hope in Pop music...that you can have catchy tunes while being interesting and having a certain sense of artistry.
She's the smartest and most interesting female pop artist since Madonna, IMO.

Thank Zod for those two bitches!

If you hear no similarities between "Alejandro" and "Don't Turn Around," then I'd advise you to seek the treatment of your nearest otolaryngologist because you are clearly experiencing problems with your hearing.

And it's very unfortunate that you feel as though everyone who disagrees with you is a "troll." Just because I don't worship Gaga blindly doesn't mean that I'm not a fan of hers. In fact, I'd say it makes me a better fan than you.
