I don't know, Moe. I think it's memorable for its simplicity. People will know it because it's not elaborately staged...there's no plot. Or really anything to it. Makes the song better, nothing detracts from the value of the lyrics. So...I like it...not what I was thinking, though, so you have to at least give her credit for not being predictable.

So I guess the rumor was true that the director left the project because of Laurie Ann. The little monsters are gonna have her head (which they are currently asking for on twitter :badgrin:). Love the song, hate the video. I would have probably liked it if it was one continuous shot like in Call Your Girlfriend. Robyn gave me more than this.

I'm gay but I can't stand Lady Gaga

I'm a gay guy, but I don't like Lady Gaga.

I don't have any problem with her as a person, and she is clearly very successful at what she does.

However, I don't like her music -- it's not my style. And I think her costumes are over the top.

I tend to enjoy country music. I'm a simple, humble kind of guy. Even though I'm from California, the best time I've ever had in my life was during a short trip to Nashville.

It just bugs me that whenever someone straight meets me, they assume that I'm a Lady Gaga devotee. It's happened to me 5 times already.

I'm just so over Lady Gaga. Actually, I was never into her music or shtick in the first place.

For some reason, the video for 'Edge of Glory' reminds me of the episode of 'Charmed' where Leo and Piper were trapped in Limbo.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

It's just annoying because these days you can't go anywhere "gay" without Lady Gaga songs blaring everywhere.

Just last week I went to a coffee house to do have a nice cup of coffee and do some quiet reading, when all of a sudden 5 twinky gay bois with long bangs and wearing tights started giggling like little girls and belted out "Born this way" and "Judas". Seriously.

P.S. I'm not some kind of "little monster", I don't have paws, and I certainly am not a motorcycle attached to a human head.

Exactly! It's way too simple for my taste but her over the top videos needed a rest and she needed to do something different.

The first thing that came to my mind when watching the video was that someone close to her died but she is celebrating all the good memories and just dancing around.

I did enjoy it even though I was waiting for something else to happen the whole time

I liked the outfits of TEOG, but she should have done more with the video. She's done simplistic videos in the past. The Edge of Glory could have had a concept, without being over the top.

Yep. And to the guy that created the thread, the same happens to me. People assume that I love her, and others like Madonna, or that I like disco and all this other crap. It's pretty offensive actually.

WTF?!? I hate the video for TEOG! Yes, it's simple and I respect and appreciate that but it doesn't have anything to do with the song and what's being portrayed in it. It's about spending your last moment on Earth with someone you love, not about dancing on staircases like a hooker in heat. My least favorite video of hers for one of my favorite song of hers.

This video could've been amazing but it just feels rushed and as if they were saying "Let's just do this and be done with it". Not much thought was put into it. Hate it, hate it HATE IT!!! Grrr

Yea I completely feel you. Huge country music fan here, and its really annoying when people assume I like Lady Gaga cause I'm gay. I was eating lunch one day at our student union on campus, and they were showing her video for Born this way on one of the big screen tv's. I completely lost my appetite because of the beginning where they is just slime, and after birth shit everywhere in the video. Why does she have to be so over the top? Its just so tacky...
