You know, I would almost agree, but I've been on the boards of a number of organizations and I recognize that in some cases, it is essential for clebs to market directly to their audience through efforts like these. The contact between superstar and fan is so much more intense than the same kid might have with some national foundation or large organization...many of which seem to lose the passion and energy for their cause as they become more conservative in their approach.

I found that it was better to set up a private foundation where we could have direct control over the overhead costs and ensuring that our dollars go where we want them to.

So I'm saying 'Good on ya GaGa!!!!'

Admirable goal, but there will always be bullies and assholes, so I'm not sure how practical this is.

None of them. Try one of these artists: Little Boots, Goldfrapp, Ladytron, Nadine Coyle, Kylie Minogue, Sam Sparro, or La Roux. They're like Lady Gaga, except good.

ya, i watched it too and have say I liked it alot too. She is pretty when you get to see her face without all the makeup and costumes.
The only part I thought was odd was when she started eating while singing bad romance with a mouthful.
But she is such a down to earch chick, it was nice to see she left her diva persona at home and was genuine tonite.
