^ this woman is a billionaire. She has cash falling out of her orifices.

Re: The Only Way Gaga Should Be Performed

I know, I should run around after her picking up lose change when she sneezes, I'd be able to afford my new teeth in no time at all.

Re: The Only Way Gaga Should Be Performed

She does have phenomenal teeth. Vastly superior to her contemporaries. It's likely all the cocaine that bleaches them...and the New England/Northeastern Seaboard dentists. Now, about that nose of hers...

Re: The Only Way Gaga Should Be Performed

:rotflmao: that was funny. sweaty smelly guys dancing around. i would love to be on stage with them with all of them humping me.

Re: The Official LADY GAGA Mega-thread

Lady Gaga still 'a bit woozy' — and still younger than Madonna
Lady Gaga was groggy, grateful and a little bit remiss on Tuesday — though we can't exactly interpret that last part for you.

The pop star, who's on tour Down Under, was bouncing back from a head injury suffered mid-concert on Sunday night in New Zealand.

"Thank you so much for all the thoughtful messages," the singer tweeted. "I feel a bit woozy but a little better everyday. Very happy to be in beautiful Australia." She's set to perform half-dozen dates in that country, starting with a gig Wednesday in Brisbane.

In the third of three Auckland shows, Gaga suffered what she and her makeup artist said was a concussion. Bending down to get a prop machine gun during the song "Judas," she was whacked by a metal pole being moved by a backup dancer.

After a brief break Gaga rallied for 16 more songs, apologizing along the way because she thought she might have a concussion but promising to finish the show, MTV reported. And finish she did.

So we have to wonder, was the Sunday-night head-thwack possibly some karmic, wrath-of-Madonna, balance-of-the-universe thing?

With the Material Girl performing a seamless and seemingly mocking mashup of 1989's "Express Yourself" and last year's "Born This Way" on her MDNA tour, Gaga had taken the opportunity in New Zealand to start expressing herself in the matter. (A matter we thought had been settled a while back, actually.)

"It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves, you know, to put other people down, or make fun of them, or maybe make mockery of their work and that doesn't make me feel good at all," Gaga said from the Auckland stage, adding that she didn't really want to fight back because all she cared about was the music.

And though she declined to "fight back," Mother Monster did take time to passive-aggressively note that her elder was, in fact, her elder.

"Things are really different than they were 25 years ago," said Gaga, who turned 26 in March, "and that's what makes 'Born This Way' so relevant for me. We're socially in a completely different place, and it's OK."

(Madonna, of course, was recently in a completely different place, Istanbul, where she decided it was OK to flash her breast for no particular reason. But that's another story.)

No matter the karmic back story, the fact of the matter was that Gaga looked pretty beaten up in the photo she posted online. "Emerging from hours of sleep," she tweeted along with the picture. "Still remiss if I should go outside, with this clonker I may be of questionable styling."

Wait — "Still remiss if I should go" — what?

Never mind. We'll assume that's just be the bump on her head talking.

Poor Gaga. And 'Born This Way' killed her career too.:##:

I tell you! The Gaga phenomena has finished.

Little Monsters have short attention spans.

We have lost interest.

Re: I tell you! The Gaga phenomena has finished.

The latest album exploded the first week (helped somewhat by heavy discounting) but it didn't have the legs of the previous one. It sold respectably, but I'm certain that they were hoping for better.

The real question is "now what?" When shock is your schtick, how do you keep the audience shocked ,and thus entertained? You can keep pushing outwards, but when you start in the meat-dresses and wtf video realm, people may already be expecting the outlandish. You can try zagging instead of zigging - a country album? Opera? Gaga unplugged? - but there's less guarantee that her fans will follow. It'll be interesting seeing the next move.

Blah, she bores me =P all her songs sound the same.

Judas and Pokerface are amazing! But everything else is really dull =P

You are so right!

People used to be shocked at Divine and those John Waters' movies; we can see that now on YouTube

Re: I tell you! The Gaga phenomena has finished.

The phenomenon is def not finished. It simply has less attention than in the past. Even at the most recent Grammy's, she didn't perform and Adele was the star. And GaGa seemed fine with it. I believe (I could be entirely wrong) that GaGa is working on a new album, so it seems as though she has less going on (unless she's on tour now?).

But it's mostly because she's recently in the media a LOT less that it seems she's "unpopular."

Re: I tell you! The Gaga phenomena has finished.

Her last album did quite well in sales considering. But her concerts have sold out everytime. So this thread is baseless. Most money is made on tours and not on albums (especially after the record companies are done). Artists make very little off albums.

I agree.

I am offended by the notion that someone thinks that I actually care about what happens with Lady Gaga, or any of the other female "gay icons".

And yet you chose to respond to the thread. You could have just ignored it.

Re: I tell you! The Gaga phenomena has finished.

^ No, Cupid. My friends would laugh at me. I like men more than gaga-puppets.

Re: I tell you! The Gaga phenomena has finished.

She's not going anywhere for the time being and she ranked quite high on the music's top money earners for 2011 (income generated from your music alone). Her new album's follow up singles (after Born This Way) didn't do so well on radio. Some of them did peak in the top 10 of the Hot 100 but fell out shortly after. Her chart performance on the US market was still strong though, but she was bested (on charts) by Adele, Rihanna, and Katy Perry last year which is why she ranked #4 on the artist of the year list. Still, she remains a strong artist in other parts of the world, particularly in Asia.

At this point her tour has made enough money to guarantee her a few more albums at least. What she's basically trying to do is ensure her survival with imaginative videos and by keeping fans guessing and intrigued with consistent changes of personal image. It's the same thing Madonna & a few other singers have done which guarantees them interest every time they put out something new and guarantees ticket sales on every concert they do.
