I was pleasantly surprised. I actually started thinking Lance was kinda hot when he came out as gay. When he was in Nsync i never thought so but now he's pretty fine i think. But i didnt think any of the Nsync guys were hot when they were actually in the group still.

For some reason the gay community has such a negativity towards Lance. I don't understand it. He'sout and proud what more can u ask for? He's like the only hot, youngish celeb who is out. He deserves much credit i think.

Pics aren't working because they're photobucket.

I think the gay community doesn't like him very much 1.) because he's a d-list celebrity so no one cares 2.) he's used his gayness to get attention

umm who cares if he's so called "d-list"? who else is there? and he didnt use his gayness to get attention. he was about to be outed by the tabs, so he decided to tell his story his way instead of tabloids having control over it. also his gayness has hurt him more than anything. i was reading that he tried to get back into movies and execs told him straight up they couldn't put an openly gay young guy in movies.

I agree with everything you said except for the gay thing hurting his career. If anything it helped him. If he wasn't outed he probably still wouldn't get cast in any movies because he isn't really a well known actor or exceptionally talented. Trust me, being outed has done wonders for his career. Aside from Justin and him all the other members of NSYNC have failed at any attempts to get famous.

i'm just saying, it's not gay people in particular that don't care for him, he's simply d-list to the population at large

and lol @ it hurting him. He'd be faded into obscurity like the rest of the Nsync members if he hadn't come out of the closet. If execs turned him down, it's probably because no one cares who he is.

He looks like what would happen if Mattel attmpted to make a gay Ken doll. I do not like.

And he never got cast in any movies before coming out, sooo why would that change his career afterwards? And I somehow doubt that someone representing the casting department of ANYWHERE said "straight up" that they wouldn't cast him because he's gay. Because that's kind of illegal under equal oppertunity employment laws. And if that's the case, he would've sued by now.

I suspect his agent told him that's why he couldn't get any parts. Because an agent who tells their client "you can't get work 'cause you suck" suddenly has one less client. So telling said talentless client that their lack of career is the result of discrimination may lead to said client getting all pissy, garnering more media attention and bit parts "as himself" in random movies and shows, thus providing the agent more money.

I'm gonna try to find the interview but he wasn't complaining about it. He said something like he was told, not by his agent, by filmmakers that they couldn't market a movie with a gay lead because female fans wouldn't want that.

ANd Lance is not talentless. Again I don't see why gays are so against this person, who like it or not is one of the few representations in mainstream. He was in that movie "on the line," which was terrible like most early 2000 teen movies. But his acting in it, isn't bad. None of these young guys are exactly doing Shakespeare.

I don't dislike him because he's gay or because I'm gay. I dislike him because he's terrible. He has the screen presence of a wet mop and even delivers stilted lines when playing himself. And he never was the best singer out of that group.
