I have never seen a debate like this before. I have never seen so much mud slung at each other and tempers flaring between candidates.

Romney vs Santorum
Romney vs Perry
Romney vs Cain
Bachmann vs Perry
Romney vs Newt

Anybody else watching? Thoughts?

Sounds like a true "Star Wars Bar scene" moment.

So the claws are finally coming out.

To give you some idea, we have had not once, but a couple times in which two candidates jaw-jacked with each other for the entire duration of someone's time because an opposing candidate said something the other candidate said was "untrue".

There have been numerous interruptions the entire debate of another candidate cutting in and interrupting who is speaking ... which resulted in a blowup.

Our gay brother Anderson is a drama queen and he is creating it tonight.

That is a good. Whether you agree or disagree with the right some fervor and emotion is what was missing. (and most of your disagree out of hand)

I want them to marginalize each other. How pathetic is it that BHO is probably STILL gonna win with the shape of the country? This term was easily the malaise of the hidden third term of a President. Things will turn in the next term and then be banging once again by 2016.

I am going to agree here that he is doing a magnificent job tonight on doing that. The pressure for ratings must be on. But he is being coy about it and if he was called on it, he would just claim he is giving the candidates a chance to distinguish themselves from one another and stand out. But he is clearly stirring the pot for ratings by not addressing the candidates who are interrupting during another's speaking time. He is just letting them talk and interrupt without telling them to stop.

Why are the debate rules never enforced? Just once it would be nice to have a moderator kill a mike when people go over their time, or try to talk over others. Perry even went as far as to say Cooper gets to ask the questions, but he will answer whatever question he feels like. His mike should have been killed so the debate could move on with the question at hand.

Anderson Cooper has not acquitted himself well

I really like Ron Paul .......... for his authentic self - "no foreign aid to Israel" - OMG

Perry went after Romney several times - came off nasty, mean and dumb in my humble opinion

Newt Gingrich is the brightest guy in the room - just ask him ;)

Bachman is like an eveready bunny - she never stops dissing Pres. Obama

Herman Cain lost a bit here - first he's for negotiating with terrorists then he's against - first he said the fence should be electrified then said its a joke then said maybe not - my take is he's about to go downward

santorum made an eloquent case (at first) why despite a 1% poll number he's the best person to beat Obama

I haven't been watching any of the debates, but your comment alone has just made me start watching.

I've been listening to the last 10 minutes. I don't really like the mood and the rhetoric. It's offputting.

What on earth is Michelle Bachmann wearing? She looks like a Navy/Air Force cadet.

Oh, and I'm sure I heard the hint of a boo from the audience when Ron Paul stated that the Guantanamo detainees have not yet been convicted of any crime by trial. So it looks like the audience are quite happy to have them rot in hell, detained forever, and refuse them any legal rights for the rest of their lives. Disgraceful.

They did.

Herman Cain Blames The Unemployed, GOP Debate Audience Cheers (VIDEO)

Herman Cain recently criticized the Occupy Wall Street protesters, saying, "Don't blame Wall Street. Don't blame the big banks. If you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself."

They seem to think their lives will allways be the same.

Definitely go to YouTube for some of the video highlights:

Santorum vs Romney was the first interruption which lasted virtually all of Romney's allotted time. Santorum has done this with numerous people in which he interrupts halfway and jawjacks with another candidate during their allotted speaking time ... simply if he doesn't agree with something the speaking candidate is saying. He really has no debate etiquette at all and basically speaks whenever he wants.

Perry and Romney was as nasty as I ever saw it and Mitt appeared to be shaken up at one point when Perry was doing the same thing Santorum was doing an taking up all of Romney's debate time jawjacking with Mitt and talking over him. Mitt basically looked like he wanted to cry and then accused Perry of simply acting unruly because he had a series of poor debate performances. Perry looked like he actually wanted to punch Romney after that.

Cain was blasted from all fronts for his proposed 9-9-9 plan and had a major stumble when he was called out by Cooper for saying he would not negotiate with terrorists despite telling Wolf Blitzer earlier today that he would consider such a transaction like Netanyahu did in exchange for a soldier. They even played the footage after Cain denied it.

By far it was the most entertaining debate I ever saw. Definitely lives up to the hype I am doing in this thread.

Here we go ... some of the You Tube uploads are starting to pour in ...

Romney vs Perry over Immigration spirals out of control

Santorum vs Romney over Health Care and Romney having a credibility problem

Ron Paul: Cut all foreign aid ... including to Israel

Extended clip from above which shows Romney arguing with Gingrich

Cain vs Everyone on 9 - 9 - 9

Romney came off more even headed and Presidential than anyone else just based off of what I just watched.

As a caveat I did not watch the debates... just these few clips.

He also came off as whiny. Even after Perry stopped talking over him, Romney kept complaining about it just to get a reaction.

MICKEY MOUSE 2012

Ron Paul certainly took everyone to task tonight, probably the most powerful point he has made thus far.

I agree that to a certain extent he let himself get walked on, I do think Anderson did one thing better than all the other moderators and that was to give all the candidates roughly equal time.

In all the other debates so far the front runners have gotten way more time, which seemed absurd to me.

I took the opportunity not watch the the GOP circus in Las Vegas.

I'm looking forward to the clips running on the Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Priceless. Absolutely priceless.

And hilarious.

It is fascinating to watch the contenders for the highest office in the land....arguably the most powerful political office on the planet......implode/explode right in front of us.

The 2011 Debate circuit is better and about the same as watching Jersey Shore.
