There is a place very close to me that offers this treatment. I am so sick of not wanting to take off my shirt, my back hair makes me ill...its terrible....


I am really considering this treatment

It's expensive but if I could afford it I would do it for the same reason. I can trim and manage my chest hair but my back is disgusting. Tried Nair for men and it worked great but it is messy and a bitch to apply by yourself, I missed spots and had clumps of hair left that I had to try to get rid of, not easy when your overweight and by yourself. If your with someone who could spread it on evenly it would work just fine.

Yeah, I considered the samething with laser hair removal for back hair. Unfortuantely, the treatments cost in total about $5000, which is currently out of my budget lol. Maybe in the future I will.

I had laser hair removal on my back, sides and shoulders. It took about 10 sessions, 6 weeks between each. All told it cost about $5000. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it. It does hurt, despite what they say. The best comparison is each pulse feels like a rubberband snap (times about 4000 pulses per session). You get used to it and it hurts less each time, especially as hair cycles are killed off. Fair skin and dark hair work best. I had better results with a red-light Alexandrite laser than a green-light one the esthetician used a couple times when I had a light tan. I am completely happy with the results. The hair has not grown back. Waxing hurts and causes skin irritation (bleeding too). Waxing is only temporary.

oh i know, i never said it was a permanent thing, but its a nice cheap alternative while someone saves up for laser removal.

oh and if the waxing causes bleeding then something is wrong!
it can cause irritation to people with more sensative skin but the beautician will do their best to minimise it and as long as you follow the after care advice you should be fine but it should NEVER bleed.

I use to get wicked ingrown hairs on my neck from shaving so i had my neck done a year or two ago. It costs alot and the hair comes back. Its not back like it use to be, instead of being picky and dark brown, its softer and blonde/white. But i still have to shave it off ever few days. I had my pubes done too, not the whole bush but just the top part, so i could wear low rise jeans with out worrying too much. Thats better...i get like peach fuzz that i have to shave off like once a month. Its barely noticeable. It defiantly hurts like a bitch.

Good luck, and my advice is to shop around and go to a place that has a plastic surgeon or dermatologist on staff that evaluates you. Different skin colors and hair types need different lasers, a salon or spa may only have 1 type of laser so you my get ripped off. And get an evaluation from more than 1 doctor, also get the info on the laser and call or email its manufacturer and verify that what the professional said is accurate. You don't want to go through months and thousands of dollars to find out you could have gotten better results with a different laser.

i got to tell you, speak with your partner first, because i for one am in love with body hair, and would be very sad if my partner went ahead and got rid of his. but then again, do what you want, its probably going to make you much happier having it done so i would say its a good idea in that respect.
