In the first episode the guy is stalking a woman he is interested in. She lives in a street level apartment, in Brooklyn, no less, and keeps her blinds up at night with all the lights on while she has sex with her boyfriend and later, masturbates.

Come on.

Show isn’t meant to be taken very seriously, as it goes on it gets a bit more ridiculous. Up to season 3 and there is no way the creators aren’t aren’t aware about the stuff they’re writing about. I find it to be pretty entertaining.

But it's literally Dexter all over again:

Handsome young guy with a somewhat eccentric job: check

..but he's a serial killer!!!!! :check

...who only kills bad people: check

Voiceover fraught with philosophical musings: check

And I see that somewhere down the line he has a kid.

It's true. The entertainment has totally eschewed originality in favor of a quick buck. It's like the end of AHS Red Tide, if you've seen that.

I agree it does have Dexter similarities, but I still do enjoy it. And I have seen the AHS finale.. unfortunately, lol.

Oh I thought it was the best AHS in years. The first half, anyway. Haven't finished the UFO part yet.

Perhaps I'll give You a few more episodes.

I have been watching the UFO episodes and so far really not impressed. Really weak second half of a season that started with a strong first half. I liked Red Tide a lot until the finale of it.
 
I like how they made the assassination of JFK and Marilyn Monroe's death part of the alien conspiracy but that's about it. The aliens themselves are boring. And I am SO SICK of seeing stupid, pretty teens in horror shows/movies. The gay boys are unappealing to me and the girls are just dipshits. I am hoping they all die.

Why didn't you like the finale of Red Tide?
 
For those who care: the first half of the final season of Ozark will air beginning Jan 21 2022.

I just thought it felt rushed and ham fisted.
