My 2006 New Years resolutions:

* Stop smoking
* Cut down on the swearing (especially at work)
* Always drive within the speed limit
* Have more patience with people.

Success rate = 0%

Mine were:

1. Stop smoking.
2. Eat less pies (or 'fewer' pies, for those concerned with grammar) and get my 30" waist back.
3. Get out of the house more.
4. Read at least some of the new books from my rapidly-growing 'new books' pile.

There were others; but I've forgotten what they were.

Summary.
Didn't even bother with #1.
Success with #2 but the 30" waist came and went again. #-o
Success with #3.
Virtually no success with #4.

I think I'll pass on this Thread.. Yet I'm posting in it..
Oh the irony.

I don't even remember what my 2006 resolutions were, so I assume I didn't keep any of them. #-o

I haven't made resolutions for years.

The idea that the changing of the calendar year will suddenly motivate one to miraculously change their behaviour is absurd.
In the end, resolutions are only a list of things you wish you would change but never get around to doing.

New Year's resolutions lists = Failure lists.

If you really wanted to change something, you wouldn't wait for the new year.

Resolutions. Meh. Brijan nailed it. ;)

I did not take any chance and I did not take any resolutions. I might this year.
