LCD on cell phone acting strange

If I open my cell the display is so faint I can barely see it but if I close it then open it again it displays normally. What's going on, is my phone dying? It happens when it's fully charged. It's a LG phone maybe 6-7 yrs old.
 
If it's 6-7 years old, I'd say it's on the way out, and replacement parts probably won't be available. Might be time to go shopping!
 
Well it all depends, Electronic will be Electronic. Old or New they go bad. The LCD Screen is starting to go bad. If it is 6-7 yrs old. LG I think had just started LCD Screens so when it first started you know most new things never last. I'm kinda shocked because, LG phones last a long time. I miss my LG phone I had. I left it on my car, and it fall off my car. lol

Samsung and LG have the best phones. Motorola phones suck I have had a few and they don't last as long as others. Sony Ericsson phones are nice but I had one that burnt my ear.
 
it sounds as if it is still in standby the first time - is this possible?
 
Thanks the connection to the screen is probably wearing out due to the open/close of the clam. Mine died that way
