I'm looking for big screen entertainment. I looked at LCD Tv's & think i would rather get more screen for the money so i want an LCD projector.

But there's so many out there. Which one is the best ?

Anyone own a projector post your thought on yours. Make & model Please. Thx

LCD is better than DLP. The technology on the DLP projecters have plateaued, and LCD is getting better and better.

Kool, thx for that review... yhea DLP is the way i wanna go. I've seen a friend of mine's his has the " screen door " affect.. very distracting to look at. When your trying to pay attention to the picture lol. i don't want that. Keep posting guys there cant' be only one guy with a DLP projector on JUB

Ok, i've found the perfect DLP projector it's great for games, movies you name it. IT does not have the screen door affect. it's native 16x9 format and it's the INFOCUSE IN72 Infocus IN72 Play Big DLP Home Entertainment Projector

I bought mine from computer geeks they only had 4 it was for 699.00 for it home set up within 10 minutes i was watching star trek, The picture posted is of my desktop the cam can't capture the quality of this projector. But it's the best buy i've ever bought. my screen is about 7 feet x 4 1/2 feet sumthing like that. porn is Awesome ! YOu are in the games ! Movies light up the whole room. i sugest this projector for everyone.

You can buy the IN72 for 599.00 and it comes with a screen !
a better deal then i got. BUt the money was worth it. comptuergeeks had free shipping.

so, a question...I guess you need a separate sound system? do you have to play it on a screen? i have a nice clear spot above the fire place but it's sorta a light cream color and slightly textured...was wondering if that would distort the image to an unacceptable level...

Mike i would say you really need a flat, white or off white wall to shoot this on. any amount of bumps or texture will distort the pic. and it's got to be pointed dead ahead of the wall. so you can get a squar picture. i noticed my waas not toally squar at the corners and i had to adjust it. Also it does 700 lumens normal running, 900 at high power. but even a faint light source will discolor the picture. Anyway. if you used a screen then you should be fine. i did also block off the light comming from my living room windows. The amount of light reflected back off the wall. lights up the room. so even though the light is blocked, my room is bright & light up. right now i'm running a hall light wich light up half of the livign room, and the screen is Bright and still looks great.

aww.. After 10 months my In72 is totally DEAD.

Last week it burnt out the bulb that came with the projector it had about 2,551 hours on it.

When it burnt it out there was alot of grey smoke and a very distasteful burnt smell in the air.

SO i ordered another bulb cost 270.00

installed it and withen about 20-30 minutes of use it REally burnt out the 2nd bulb. sparks, smoke, orange flashes of light comming form inside then a loud electric spark and it went dead. i was in shock for a sec. i thought it was on fire !

i've already contacted the bulb place and they will refund my money once i ship the bulb back to them.

I'm still under warranty from Infocus and i contacted them and they said it was not under warranty .

i bought this last year on 11/26/2006 it died 10/05/2007 so i have one month left. Infocus said no it's not under warranty. SO i contacted computer geeks and told them about it.

I can't belive Infocus wont' honor the warranty. unill i looked up sum reviews for this projector, and many people reported getting the shaft from infocus when they incountered problems. so we'll see what happens.

699.00 for the projector

270.00 for the bulb replacement.

ehh. I SO miss my projector. it was 8 1/2 feet diagonal

I noticed they took the IN72 off there website , and they aren't selling it anymore.. Wierd. its' very popular.

I havent' heard from computer geeks yet. But there good at keeping there word, and honoring a warranty . We'll see. As for infocus not sure if i would buy another one. They seem not to care how they treat customers. Then i'll take my business else where.

Thx lol, I've got an update, Infocus is now gonna honor my warranty, After i sent them an email again with the copy of the invoice computer geeks sent me when i ordered my projector, that was yesterday, This moring i fedex it to them, Also after contacting the company i got the bulb from, there going to give me a refund in the amount of the buld. After i send it back to them, just waiting for the RMA.

I took the projector apart, becuase i was for sure it was fried.. YUP.. it was. Looks like a circut board that deal with power was burnt all to hell. Black ash was everwhere. the board was fried totally. dont' think they can tell i opened it. becuase there was no stickers that would void the warranty. Because it's the same way you open it to clean it. i am for Dam sure this thing cought fire. Anyway. If infocus dose or don't replace it with a new one. i'll just Scrap it and buy another one. I was looking at the EVO 1.2 wich is a LCD projector with a HID bulb that only cost 30bucks to replace. The down side it quality.... Crappy contrast 600 : 1
light output 600 lumens
image quality 15 :9 wich i've never heard of before. but ok.

What i'd like to know it WHY can't the make DLP projectors with Cheap bulbs. OR longer lasting bulbs. like 10,000 hours wich i know they make them.

Deam projector.. HiDef 1080 p 10,000 : 1 contrast 10,000
Lumens 16:9 100 dollar replacement 10,000 hour bulb.. LETS buld one ! :OP

Ouch this all SUCKS! I was shocked at first when you said they wouldn't honor your warranty. I'm glad that got cleared up and they will now. did they say why they weren't going to at first but will now? i mean did they not like believe you the first time when you said you'd not had it a year yet?! damn them.

Well i registered my projector the day i got it with Infocus. But the reason they said it wasn't covered by warranty was an error in there database. After sending them the 2nd email with my invoce from Computer geeks, and a link to the product on there website. They changed there mind.

Here's the copys of the Email
