Leather pants - culture question.

We are absolutely responsible for creating and keeping pets.

Just as well that I will never buy a £50,000 beemer then.

Q - What's the difference between hedgehogs and BMWs?
A - Hedgehogs have the pricks on the outside.

Cats and dogs are carnivores, we do not have a right to try to make our pets vegetarian, it is not good for them.

Agreed.

Humans are omnivores ...

... we do not have a right to try to make our children vegetarian, it is not good for them.

Let's make some cute shoes and belts before the hide on this dead horse is ruined.:)

Leather clothing is basically fancy dress. It isn't practical and as it ages it looks scruffy and low class. In the past leather was only worn by farmers and labourers who needed heavy duty protective clothing. It wasn't used in fashion, except for shoes and gloves. In the film Shakespeare In Love Shakespeare is seen wearing a fancy black leather doublet but I don't believe such an item ever existed in Elizabethan times.

I suppose MILTs think that prancing around in the skin of a bull makes them look more virile, but a lot of leather comes from sheep or goats, so they are probably wearing the skin of an old ewe that got boiled down to make dog food or glue.

The penchant for leather in the 80's came from biker drag, inspired largely by Tom of Finland.
