Oprah Winfrey Supports Michael Jackson Accusers: 'I Know People Are Gonna Be in an Uproar'

“I know people all over the world are gonna be in an uproar and debating whether or not Michael Jackson did these things or not, did he do it or not do it, whether these two men are lying or not lying,” Winfrey, 65, said during the taping of the special, which is titled Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland.

She continued, “But for me, this moment transcends Michael Jackson. It is much bigger than any one person. This is a moment in time that allows us to see this societal corruption. It’s like a scourge on humanity and it’s happening right now. It’s happening in families.”

Before launching into her interview, Winfrey first addressed her audience, which included survivors of sexual abuse who had just screened the film. She said, “as you just saw in Leaving Neverland that as young boys, these two men did not feel abuse until much later on in life. And when you are a child — this is the message I want every parent to hear — you don’t have the language to explain what is happening to you because you’ve been seduced and entrapped.”

“Michael had just drilled in you over and over since you were a kid, ‘If we’re caught, your life is over, my life is over,'” Safechuck said. “It’s repeated over and over and over again. That’s just drilled into your nervous system. So it’s panic of being caught. It takes a lot of work to sort through that.”

Robson said that Jackson told him a similar statement: “If anybody ever finds out what we’re doing, we’ll both go to jail for the rest of our lives.”

“So I was terrified for myself, but also terrified for him,” Robson continued. “I loved him, and I wanted to protect him. In my mind, up until whatever it was, six years ago or so, I was going to take what truly happened to my grave. No question, that was the way it was.”

Okay. Now, for my take. First off, FUCK Oprah. If I am related to the Jackson family in any way I would NEVER forgive her for pushing this.

I don't know what the basis of her issue with Michael has been for all of these years but Oprah can kiss all of my Black ass. She's the same women who fraternizes with David Geffen and Harvey Weinstein.

Do your research on Wade Robson 'cause you just make yourself look like a complete idiot.

Jumping on the pc, metoo, sjw bandwagon, typical Oprah wank fodder. i haven't seen the show, have no plans to do so, the gent isn't there to defend himself and i refuse to believe people who have already testified in court that nothing happened.

Let the man rest in peace.

...Wow...you definitely brought...receipts.

Yeah, I strongly believe that this documentary is a setup for a pay day. If memory serves me correct, years ago, Wade denied Jackson had any sexual contact with him. Smh.

I am not sure where the money came from to shoot this production (one of Jackson's spiteful, wealthy, so-called "friends"), but this is clearly a smear attack on Jackson's name and family. It is not like he is still here to defend himself against Wade's claims. How many times will Jackson's name be drug in the mud (goodness the man is 6 feet under the dirt)? The man was investigated by the FBI (took naked pics of him...yeah, I remember his MTV plea) and was even found not guilty in court.

Shit...let the man rest.

I am glad that there are some posters who are not buying into what these guys are peddling as there are so many people that are getting riled up and believing them.

The best thing Michael Jackson fans can do is cancel their HBO subscriptions and if you are subscribed to OWN cancel that as well. There is a hundred million dollar lawsuit filed by Michael Jackson's Estate against HBO and hopefully they win that and hit them right in the pocket book. As for Oprah there are other weight loss companies other than hers. You can live a happy life never having read her magazine. Also stop watching Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz and Rachel Ray as Oprah makes money off of those shows. But there would have to be a massive amount of people follow that advice for them to notice. Many people are believing these guys. I won't watch the show. Also while your at it why not cancel HBO sister channels such as CNN and avoid the Washington Post which seems to right on board with the Leaving Neverland bunch.

Some radio stations in Quebec have dropped Michael Jackson's music. Something I am remembering is that when Michael Jackson's family sued those Concert Promoters that is when Wade Robson first came out with these allegations. Wasn't Wade Robson employed by those Concert Promoters?

Adult man admits to regularly sleeping in bed with multiple children, almost all boys of a particular age.

Fans don't hear alarm bells.

Jackson was a pedophile, but this isn't really a story about his legacy.

It's a story about recognizing abuse and hopefully preventing other children from ever suffering the same.

What 30 year old Adult Male sleeps with a 7 year old boy in their bed who is not their son? These guys are NOT opportunists because they did not receive any money from this documentary! MJ paid off millions to accusers! If he was innocent he should have gone to court instead of paying them off to shut them up!

This is a documentary about abuse and the Power that an Icon had over them!

Gobsmacked. How pedophiles work. Gain the trust of parents so that they come to feel there is nothing wrong with sharing secret time with their kids. The kids feel ashamed to discuss what is/has happened to them. A lot of it is shame. A lot of it is fear of not being believed. What's worse, in this case, is the cult of celebrity. If there's any proof of why kids don't come forward it's what I've read here and other places online. Come on ... It's so obvious. Sleeps with young boys, sets up alarms around the bedroom and then gets rid of the boys when they reach puberty. I think its 5 boys now who have accused him of abuse. All with similar stories. What is that saying? There is none so blind as those who will not see.

I did see some of the film and there are things that will sting your ears and when you put all the things together you get a pretty sordid story of a pop icon who knew how to manipulate parents and kids.

Jump up and down all you want but there is a history here of a man who preferred children over adults. He built a whole playground of things for kids on his property and kept his property secluded from prying eyes.

As a parent, how would you feel if you had learned you aided a man who did this to your children.

And all that about Wade and his problems could stem from his lack of self worth after having been abused.

Oprah brought a whole group of sexual abuse survivors to try and help them understand.

Y'all are such sheep.

When did you last think of MJ in the context of sexual abuse?

The media can plant the seed in your minds and stand back and watch it sprout blissful ignorance to their mind control tactics to lynch black, wealthy men.

Someone shoulda told Oprah that dancing on a dead man's grave is taboo.

Oprah is disturbed. Always has been, as evidenced by her messy personal life;
the fractured home
the sexual abuse
the teen pregnancy, attempted abortions and premature birth and subsequent death of her son.
the over-eating
the inferiority complex

She made her name peddling ghoulish TV, where people (egged on by her) laid bare their demons. Counselling was not provided. She was smart enough to try and clean up the format, trying to go upmarket with the self-help gurus, many who turned out to be charlatans. I'm an immensely spiritual person but between herself and those charlatans, they were straight up peddling gooble-gooke.

I was done with her (Obama too) when she opted to blank out Winnie Mandela and instead stayed her lips fixed to Nelson Mandela's ass. Thing is Winnie Mandela didn't kill Stompie, STRATCOM operatives (South Africa's Apartheid equivalent of COINTELPRO planted those stories). A STRATCOM agent admitted that Stompie was an agent, the guy who killed Stompie (Jerry Richardson) was also an agent. He went on to say that Jerry killed Stompie, before Stompie could snitch on him. Winnie Mandela had a lot of people shook including sell outs in her own party. The apartheid regime and their western counterparts knew she wasnt about compromise. Thsy woukd have killed but they knew it woukd have destroyed Mandela. They needed Mandela to deliver them safely to the other side, white privilege intact. So they destroyed her reputation.

Winnie Mandela was revered by the stalwarts of the Civil Rights Movement. They knew the shit she had gone through, the battle she had waged against white supremacy (SA, UK, USA they were in it together, even the STRATCOM agent who owned up to framing Winnie Mandela has said he shelved the idea to write a book- on the STRATCOM amongst other things including the Winnie Mandela conspiracy- after receiving a warning from DOWNING STREET ). I knew Oprah was suspect the moment she failed to acknowledge Winnie Mandela, in life or in death!

On spirituality. I went off Oprah YEARS ago...way back in the late 90s. About 2 years ago, I decided to take a peak of one of her videos on youtube. Bananas much? She was giving a speech to these students...telling them that rubbing their fingers would generate life changing energy or some such. Utter nonsense.

To cut a long story short. All that spiritual talk is just mumbo jumbo. Oprah is not bright, she's not a thinker, she's produced a few pithy sound bites, but nothing remotely cerebral. What to expect considering she got her come up by getting people to air their dirty linen (very basic shit) on national TV. She changed nothing. All she does is talk, basic talk, nothing remotely revolutionary like Malcolm X.

She made money and a name for herself cause it's America. She parlayed that shine and bagged some huge interviews; MJ, Whitney. However, once you look at her closely you begin to see the self aggrandisement; always dominating conversations- will show up as a guest on a talk show and then go on to interview the interviewer (like WTF?), always keen to interrupt under the guise of elucidating, when in reality she's adding nothing to the conversation. She's full of it.

She's done some positive things -school in South Africa, however she's not right as evidenced by her silence when it comes to Harvey Weinstein and now this MJ fiasco.

This MJ documentary circus is a mess. I don't know why she got involved...either someone has something on her or she's too daft to know when to walk away. Whatever the case, her goose is fried. She's going to learn that dancing on a dead man's grave is taboo.

OK. Now, don't me wrong, Jackson had some rather...weird habits, but I think his heart and mind was in the right place.

Let's not forget that Jackson was investigated by the FBI for ten years. Yes, he has a lot of money and influence, but he is not above the FBI or the law. Besides, if he was a pedophile, I am quite sure, after a 10 year investigation, the FBI agents would have gathered enough evidence to help the courts (jurors) arrive at a guilt verdict. Did not happen.

Oprah, Oprah, Oprah. On her birthday, it was mentioned that she, along with "friends", was watching the Michael Jackson documentary on David Geffen's boat. Since we are still interested and "investigating" the past, I am surprised we are not discussing Oprah's..."friends" (also Jackson's so-called friends) on that boat and their pasts (yeah, they are interesting bunch too).

This is misinformation.

The FBI provided technical and investigative assistance to California agencies for only a period of two years regarding the child molestation.

The evidence relied solely on the testimony of the boys. One was paid off, one wasn't believed by the jury, and 2 have since confirmed they were also abused, after being too frightened and too 'in love' with the abuser to tell the truth initially

Michael Jackson Music Sales Rise, Despite Harrowing Documentary

Combined song and album sales were up 10% after the two-part series, according to data from Nielsen Music. Those sales included both his work with the Jackson 5 and as a solo artist.

Streaming services saw an increase in interest as well, with 19.7 million video and audio streams between March 3 and March 5, a 6% increase from the similar period the prior week.
