Will Lebron re-up with Cleveland as buddy Dywane Wade has picked his sidekick,Chris Bosh of the Raptors to revive the Miami Heat's fortunes?Wouldn't he guaranteehimself the potential of a living lasting legend if he decides to join Amar'e Stoudemire, whom he begged the Ca vs to acquire from the Suns at the trade deadline last year with the New York Knicks? To bring the Knicks back to a championship,or at least the great likelihood to get into the Finals on more than one occasion...after a decade of misery for New York basketball fans?
A man who gets a sports network to devote an hour to announce to the world who pays him $100,000,000 isn't going to go back to the farm in Cleveland,or piggy back with a star like Wade who's already won a championship in Miami and co star power forward Chris Bosh who spurned a chance to play with Lebron outright in Cleveland by pouring cold water on the opportunity of a sign and trade from his Raptors to the Cavaliers? He can't go back to Cleveland without the certified sidekick almost every championship team type#1 player has to have his back....look at Kobe Bryant, who with Pau Gasol had that diffrence maker to help strtch defenses and get him to the Finals.
No one outside Miami would root for the Mothra team, the three headed superstar travesty shooting fire on its opponents...and I just can't believe Lebron would defer to Dywayne even though Dywane has been a career Miami Heat. And does have the ring he doesn't....can a man with an ego to tweet to the world,to be interviewed on national television as a breahless basketball nation awaits(Ok,at least it gets the Gulf oil spill off the front pages ever so briefly)
If Lebron, you aren't going to waste a nation's hour...you better start singing "Start spreading the news,I'm leaving today...I want to be a part of it,New York,New York"....you will be the most popular New Yorker for the rest of your life if you can get in a championship or so.Amar'e made the risk because the possibilities could be so great, not to mention spectatularly rewarding for you.But if you choose Cleveland without a sidekick like Bosh,or the three headed Mothra basketball monster in Miami, always remember Dywayne is the chief head now and always....and abdicate your title as King James....because then you'll have settled, not risked....and great ones see no obstacles to getting where they want to go and are NEVER safe.
BTW,as a New Jersey Nets fan we're going to Brooklyn in a couple of years, another big part of the city of New York...risk/reward would be tremendous there too.Anyway,I don't know if Lebron has it in him to make tomorrow night's ESPN Lebron-mercial the beginning of the greatest show on Earth, doing something daring, risky and exciting for the game of basketball....or tomorrow night will make memories even fonder for Geraldo Rivera's alleged expose of that vault that was supposed to wow the world regarding Al Capone.Though at least Le Bron will make his fortune a lot more legit than Capone did, wherever he stashed his goods!
