Will Lebron re-up with Cleveland as buddy Dywane Wade has picked his sidekick,Chris Bosh of the Raptors to revive the Miami Heat's fortunes?Wouldn't he guaranteehimself the potential of a living lasting legend if he decides to join Amar'e Stoudemire, whom he begged the Ca vs to acquire from the Suns at the trade deadline last year with the New York Knicks? To bring the Knicks back to a championship,or at least the great likelihood to get into the Finals on more than one occasion...after a decade of misery for New York basketball fans?

A man who gets a sports network to devote an hour to announce to the world who pays him $100,000,000 isn't going to go back to the farm in Cleveland,or piggy back with a star like Wade who's already won a championship in Miami and co star power forward Chris Bosh who spurned a chance to play with Lebron outright in Cleveland by pouring cold water on the opportunity of a sign and trade from his Raptors to the Cavaliers? He can't go back to Cleveland without the certified sidekick almost every championship team type#1 player has to have his back....look at Kobe Bryant, who with Pau Gasol had that diffrence maker to help strtch defenses and get him to the Finals.

No one outside Miami would root for the Mothra team, the three headed superstar travesty shooting fire on its opponents...and I just can't believe Lebron would defer to Dywayne even though Dywane has been a career Miami Heat. And does have the ring he doesn't....can a man with an ego to tweet to the world,to be interviewed on national television as a breahless basketball nation awaits(Ok,at least it gets the Gulf oil spill off the front pages ever so briefly)

If Lebron, you aren't going to waste a nation's hour...you better start singing "Start spreading the news,I'm leaving today...I want to be a part of it,New York,New York"....you will be the most popular New Yorker for the rest of your life if you can get in a championship or so.Amar'e made the risk because the possibilities could be so great, not to mention spectatularly rewarding for you.But if you choose Cleveland without a sidekick like Bosh,or the three headed Mothra basketball monster in Miami, always remember Dywayne is the chief head now and always....and abdicate your title as King James....because then you'll have settled, not risked....and great ones see no obstacles to getting where they want to go and are NEVER safe.

BTW,as a New Jersey Nets fan we're going to Brooklyn in a couple of years, another big part of the city of New York...risk/reward would be tremendous there too.Anyway,I don't know if Lebron has it in him to make tomorrow night's ESPN Lebron-mercial the beginning of the greatest show on Earth, doing something daring, risky and exciting for the game of basketball....or tomorrow night will make memories even fonder for Geraldo Rivera's alleged expose of that vault that was supposed to wow the world regarding Al Capone.Though at least Le Bron will make his fortune a lot more legit than Capone did, wherever he stashed his goods!

I actually thought that Lebron was going to stay in Cleveland but I completely understand his decision to go to Miami. He's got enough money. Now it's time for a ring. Several of them if they can find the right team chemistry. I do agree that it was over the top to make it a TV special but that's the kind of world we're living in circa 2010. ;)

a pro athlete (and a basketball player to boot) picking winning over $$$ and ego? how very odd

Lebron....who's your daddy....DYWANE!

He's not the king...he's a shameless huckster/pretender who if he does win will have done it the easy way, this ready made mini dream team farce that will not do anything for his legacy...he could have made a new legend in Chicago,or become a god in New York.

Kobe doesn't need two superstars to win his titles...he's got two without Shaquille and Pau Gasol showed that he was a reliable wingman...Kobe and Gasol(a fine player but not an out and out superstar on his own)are proving to be this generation's Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen....it's not all about all star awesomeness...Le Bron's clubs in Cleveland have won 60 plus games the past couple of years...he needed a strong no 2 guy,Cleveland was not that far fropm winning it all.It was Le Bron that played like a stiff rather than a legend enough to cost Cleveland against the Celtics.

I don't wish him well...he wins, well he then has to kiss Dywane and Chris Bosh's ass every night that he can piggyback his way to a title.Real kings make their own legends...this egotistical prick who tore out Cleveland's hear by making this all about Lebron show is more and more proving to be a legend in his own mind.

Go Lakers,Boston,San Antonio,Oklahoma City(compare the ostentatious pretentiousness of LeBron to Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant who is syaying in small market Oklahoma through 2016 by announcing only in a happy tweet his decision to re-up with the Thunder...he is a claasy, true sportsman and one of my favorite players)SanAntonio,Chicago......beat MIAMI!!!

King Jame's over inflated ego will not fit in his jockstrap.

Maimi Heat will now be the hottest ticket in town. And if they can get a couple more pieces - a dependable shooting guard and durable center- I would say they will defintely compete for a championship this year.

And Dan Gilbert proved why LeBron needed to get the hell out of there. That guy is a dirtbag.

LeBron may very well be the Michael Jordan of this generation. He generates huge interest when he plays.

But all the hype over his decision was a bit much. I blame the media for that as much as LeBron himself.

I'm glad he's going to Miami, and I wish him great success there. That is what he wants.

And I wish the Cleveland Cavs all the best without him. It was kind of sad seeing people burning their LeBron jerseys on TV. But living where I do, and with football teams like the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills in close proxiimity to me, I understand that defeatist feeling when your team hasn't produced in years.....

LeBron hoists himself up as King James....now he's part of the Holy Trinity in Miami...Dwayne Wade the Father, good loyal sidekick Chris Bosh(who made this all possible by leaving cold Toronto for sun and fun Miami)has to be recognized as the son,and LeBron the Holy Ghost along for the ride.

They were planning this for months,so long as Miami could get far enough under the cap....come hell or high water, this was going to happen. All the talk about Dywane and Bosh thinking about Toronto while the Cavs trying to get Bosh to join Le Bron in Cleveland....they knew that wasn't going to happen. They strung along New York,New Jersey,Chicago and Cleveland in the process. The classless made for TV,completely controlled and orchestrated by Lebron and his entourage...if he wanted to play for Miami all the time, when he knew it was definite Miami had the cap room, right at the beginning of the free agent negotiation process,Le Bron should have come clean and get on with it.Who the hell is he to bring the basketball world to its knees awaiting his royal decree? The guy then says Cleveland has the right to mixed feelings....oh,how noble of him. He's rubbing the carcass of Cleveland in the dirt every which way,and did anyone see the ostentatious, way over the top coronation for this so called Holy Trinity in Miami? He guarantees seven championships, they strut and pose and act like royal assholes...and worst of all,the truly insidious evil genius of basketball, the Miami organization president,Pat Riley is bathing in all this gloriousness...the snake who left New York when things just went a little wrong and couldn't even resign in person. Now he's possibly plotting his coaching comeback...his young coach Eric Spoelstra should really watch his back at all times, lest Pat get the itch again. He denies it but Pat's history is his word is his bond til he changes his mind!

Le Bron said when he started his Twitter account(Twitter being the perfect name for a social site devoted to attracyting hoards following every thought and move of certifiable twits like Le Bron)the REAL King James was in the house.Well, there will likely be a ton of great basketball to be seen in Miami over the next six years(I thought I saw a report though that says the three could OPT OUT after four years....haven't they done enough damage with their collective self gratification and crassness, sheesh if that's not enough?!)and championships may be in the offing, maybe an unprecented dynasty(though God or whatever force in the universe if one I hope not)but Le Bron ain't a king. He's Dwyane Wade's must humble servant.

He should do what he ultimately thinks is best for himself and his family. But he'll never be another Michael Jordan,Larry Bird,Isaiah Thomas,Magic Johnson because he decided he couldn't face the challenge of leading his team to championships....maybe he wins, but the way he did this shows he is not a winner when all is said and done.He went to safe Miami...party town where he would feel none of the pressure, have all of the fun in the way he pictured things going. He would have been a legend many times over if he had stayed in Cleveland and found a way to win....or dared move to New York or New Jersey(soon moving to Brooklyn)and at long last brought back a winner there....or Chicago.Miami is Dywane's kingdom,I guess he really wanted to play and try to win with buddies Dywane and Chris Bosh...the way it was done, even though I kind understand his reasoning, can't respect him for creating a circus that left a bad taste in most people's mouths and further showed that sports is all about entertainment and shameless self promotion and there are few true class people in the industry.

I'll take Kevin Durant over Le Bron James any day.People like him,who do their business and don't make themselves the center of the universe and just love what they do.The posses and entourages and posers and pretenders rule everywhere.LeBron just takes bad sportsmanship and questionable character to a higher level.

I don't really care about LeBron, but Kobe's a rapist who would rather go 0-82 than share the spotlight

Kobe is no Jordan, MJ was clutch

This should further boost his ego. They are going up against my Sacramento Kings this Saturday. (arguably the worst team 3 years running and chew toy for good teams). That should be a real hoot.(!)
