same here. i dunno why, but my right arm would always cramp up during, so i switched.

it's weird i guess, but i love finding out a hot guy's a lefty. have a special affection for bowlegged guys too:confused:
 
I'm left handed, but rather ambidextrous.

I can write with my right hand, but it's sort of uncomfortable and takes a bit more time than with my left, but it not in-legible.
 
Men are more likely to be left-handed than women.
Left-handed people are supposed to be more artistic.
Homosexuals are more likely to be left-handed than heterosexuals.
Left-handed people are supposed to be smarter.

I don't know if those are true but I have heard them all.

I am left-handed. So is a lot of my family.
 
There have been other surveys about handedness on this and other gay sites, with a combined sample size of several hundred, and all have shown that about a third of respondents were left-handed, which is about three times the percentage in the population at large. Even so, the majority of gays are right-handed and most lefties are straight.

I've recently been looking into left-handedness and it really intrigues me. Myself and one of my two brothers are left-handed. I am gay, my other brothers are not.

Although the article linked to in the first post doesn't mention it, other sources I've read have mentioned that handedness is determined during embryonic development possibly by levels of testosterone. It does seem reasonable to believe that testosterone levels can indeed affect homosexuality as well as handedness. The claim is that low uterine testosterone levels leads to increased chance of being left-handed as well as homosexual. Hence why there is a greater percentage of left-handers among homosexual crowds as opposed to the population as a whole.


Based on the poll here (which really isn't anything to scientifically go by, considering it's a small sample), about one-third of the gay population is left-handed. The general population's rate of left-handedness is about 10%.


Sorry for rambling. I'm just really interested in this kind of stuff!
 
This poll has no option for me. I'm lefty for some things and righty for others.
 
^ Me too. I always consider handedness to be which hand you write with. It would have been a good idea for the creator of the poll to establish a common act we should all base our handedness on.

I jack off, write, eat, and drink with my left hand... but I bat, throw, punch, etc. with my right.

Naturally I jerk with my left, but I do with my right sometimes for a varied sensation. :p
 
I am a lefty but I can play piano. Not to virtuoso standards but enough to play out a few pop songs/bang a few chords. Most left-handed people struggle with the concept of piano because the melody is played with the right hand (dominant) and base is played with the left. The pattern recognition is reversed for us and takes some mental gymnastics to overcome it.
